Know how you feel. Switched to injections last week and couldn't stop grinning in the Endo's office.

Congrats!

Congratulations Angela.  I recall lightning bolts of clarity myself when first starting transition.  I cannot think of any rules prohibiting celebration?  Enjoy the ride, you earned that ticket!

Only slightly :3
I ended up wasting a lot of time trying to get into see a doctor in Peterborough, (closer to home)
My own fault =/ the constant commuting drains me. She left me dangling for over 9 weeks before she would give me a final answer as shed basically 'closed her doors' to dealing with trans issues and stopped honoring referrals..

My new doctor at Church and Wellesley Health Centre is fantastic ^.^
Everything is explained to me in dummy terms (I'm not the smartest girl out there) and he operates on informed consent. Everything's been so much easier in the city. >.< I was really only wasting my own time.

Even getting the drugs where I live is an issue, they claim they don't stock and simply wont stock it.

I can usually do my blood work, while my prescriptions are filled, same building. Crazy!

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

It's utterly insane, I'm pretty sure right now it's purely placebo effect, since it's only been a matter of days but,
WOW, I feel invincible. Any giants nearby I can topple? >.>

Angela, I just have to add my congratulations to this....wow....so neat! I am just six months ahead of you and still amazed by the wonder of it all every day. There are just so many changes that are beginning to take place within you right now, waiting for you to notice them. I fully expect that you have studied up on all of the effects of hrt and read many postings on Susan's site but just get ready to begin feeling them. Some get many changes, some fewer, ymmv......but watch them take place, skin softness, sense of smell, body smell came first for me, then the emotions....I won't even go into that discussion, then shape changes.....hang on and enjoy the ride, it is a wild one! - Anne

I agree, it is nice to see so many journeys getting underway.  It is refreshing to an old bird like me.  :)

I remember going to the mall back in 2003 to get my ears pierced.  They stayed pierced until I started derby in 2010, I was worried that I would somhow hurt myself if I got hit in the head or something.  Fortunately that never happened, but the holes have healed up, so now I have a box full of earrings I cannot wear...maybe it is time to remedy this situation...

I refuse to take my piercings out for any reason. They've been torn out countless times, I just redo em.
