I was on a dating site, and I noticed yesterday a user who I possibly work with was on there. I did have my face pic out there. There is a potential chance he saw that I had it up there because he put his first name and (height/age/weight) on there, and his first name is quite rare. So I am 80% sure it is him.

As far as I am aware, he is not out of the closet, but I thought him as straight... so I think he was on there as "straight but curious"? It was a long weekend, so he may had been searching for fun. I pulled my add quickly when I saw his.

What are the chances that he may tell others, but by doing so they will be "why are you on a gay dating site?" If he does ask me about it, I will deny.

Depending on how bold of a guy he is, he may ask you about it. Though, there's a chance he won't tell anyone because, depending on how your OTHER coworkers are, it's kind of not appropriate to talk about dating sites at work and the fact that it was a gay dating site makes it even tougher to bring up. Because if says you were on there, he'll have to admit he was too.

That's the only thing that would stop him from telling others... it's not acceptable to be gay at my job. He talks about women quite a bit, so he does have a straight reputation.

I think he even pulled his profile off the site.

Be careful there. Someone else may have posted the ad using his name.

At this point, I would just let things be as they are and not mention it to anyone else.

Several of us have been "outed" before we are ready. We just have to deal with it.
