I've found that doing some intensive exercise for several hours will significantly redistribute my body fat. The last session was 2.5 hours canoeing. I lost inches around my thighs. I am not talking about losing weight, just moving it to a more male pattern. Prior to T, I found this sort of exercise would move fat from my middle to my thighs (which is more metabolically healthy) so it doesn't surprise me that it moves now that I'm on T.

However I constantly see it told here that body fat won't move around unless you lose it all and gain it back. My experience is that this is not true at all. ::)

You will experience fat distribution no matter what plus your body naturally gains and looses somewhat over time. The loosing gaining technique may work better I'm not sure at all. Exercise does help fat distribution because the blood circulation and testosterone is being circulated more to different areas and promotes the fat transfer

I started getting fat redistribution the first few months on testosterone, so I think for some people it can work faster than others. I know it was happening because I measured everything and wasn't doing much different exercise wise. But I've heard a lot of people say that fat redistribution doesn't happen until you are a year on testosterone, which doesn't make sense to me. So maybe everyone's different?

Yeah, I saw fat redistribution almost immediately (and on gel, which is what I started on). I'd agree that its a case of everyone is different

I've done some climbing and distance hiking since beginning T which in my experience makes absolutely no difference to the amount of fat on the thighs before T. On E my body was determined to stuff all the fat there no matter what. Even back when I was 15 and weighed 8.5 stones, I specifically remember looking at my thighs in disgust because they just seemed so fat, even though I could never have been described a "being fat" or having "a lot of fat".

Being that familiar with my thighs, after 3 months on T I can see it's doing something there even without a crash diet or excessive leg exercise. The inner part definitely has less of it under the skin and the rest of my legs seem to be getting skinnier.

I can't really tell about redistribution as I am trying to lose some needed weight now that I give a darn about how I present, but I have noticed some shifts in the face and more fullness in the tummy and less in the tail n thighs. We'll see how it all works out in the end

I have tended to lose the same 5 pounds and then gain it again for the last couple of years. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the seesaw has positively impacted fat redistribution. I have gained inches on my butt, thighs and hips and my waist continues to shrink, consistent wth the female pattern.

Of course some of that fat goes to my breasts but they do not seem to decrease when i am in the losing part of the cycle. I take measurements pretty regularly. My spouse actually said recently "Wow has your body changed. You are actually hourglass looking"

So this conclusion has led me to consciously work toward the weight seesaw on an ongoing basis. Not sure if this works for men or not, but thought i'd mention.

Ive never seemed to notice things like male and female body patterns and facial structure, but maybe thats potentially that fact that I might have autism and thats the hardest thing for me to recognize and pay attention to. Although...I've learned it does make a significant difference because since starting T my face has changed because when people look at my face they read male.

Fat distribution is a little weirder though. I dont think Ive ever had extremely prominent hips, thighs, boobs, or anything of the sort. I have had an hourglass shape, since T the hourglassness has straightened out a bit more. That's about it. Regardless, exercise has helped in building more muscle tone on my shoulders and arms which makes more of a difference than fat redistributions for me, I think.
