Since the change here is related to HRT, i thought i would post here.

So i have noticed a big increases in lubrication fluid that i produce. I would guess it is like 4x as much and the interesting thing is i produce it at times with very little or even no sexual/erotic stimulation. Prior to HRT this stuff appeared upon arousal. Now i can simply imagine something about a relationship or even like talking to my therapist about very mundane things and i find myself getting wet. It is sort of disconcerting as it can spot right though pants or jeans etc.

Other than making sure that i am never tempted to wear the same pair of panties twice, it also has me thinking about panty-liners.

My sex drive has gone from almost zero to some sex drive and i started progesterone 9 months ago, so perhaps that has something to do with it. I will bring it up with my doctor in the appointment in a couple of weeks. Perhaps this actually bodes well for eventual post SRS function. I just hope it is not something of concern such as prostate etc.

Has anyone else experienced such an increase?

I noticed an increase in lubrication when I switched to injections of estrogen. I also take a significant amount of progesterone. I suspect progesterone has something to do with it. My libido is also, most certainly, not low. :)

Please help, I'm a little confused. When I saw your post, I expected to find that you were post-op and were asking about vaginal lubrication. From reading your full post, I'm assuming that you're not. Yours was a timely observation for me, too, as I had notice something similar.

I'm an older transitioner with a little over two months HRT. I lost morning erections a couple of weeks ago and the volume of my ejaculate has been clear and greatly diminished for a little over a week. I'd been assuming that most of the ejaculate was secretions from the Cowper's gland.

I noticed a couple of days ago that my panties were unexpectedly wet, and my genitals were a little "gooey." At the time, I couldn't think of any stimulation. Today, I did have some stimulation and found that I was even more wet even though I hadn't felt any secretions or feelings of an erection.

Is that kinda what you're talking about?

On another note, good to see you posting again, KayXo. We missed you.

All the best,
--AshleyP

Interesting thread.  I am one of those who has never had any natural lubrication, so it makes me wonder what might develop.

Yes,I should have been clearer. I was definitely talking about pre-ejaculate or Cowper's fluid.

I'm relieved to know that Kay has experienced something similar. I bet it is the progesterone. There was one reference i could find on excess Cowper's production due to an estrogenic drug but not to any of the drugs commonly associated with HRT.

I had this happen when I first started HRT (and I did have to resort to pantiliners). I even went to the doctor, which was hugely embarrassing, and ended up being told it looked like normal fluid, just in larger quantities. It tapered off after a few weeks, thank goodness. I was on a super low dose of E and no blockers or progesterone, even.

(And then I ended up quite self-lubricating once I was post-op, but now it's only at arousal, not randomly. I don't mind that nearly as much!)

Hi Robyn,

Yes, I had a similar situation while pre-op. Sorta like the stuff that used to come out all at once when a certain point of stimulation was reached, would then dribble out whenever I felt warm emotions of just about any kind, lol, perhaps not even especially sexy ones..

I thought of it as 'getting wet' almost immediately, and that relieved the weirded out feelings I had at first...

Now, I am post-op, and lubrication is not a problem at all. I quit using lube to dilate about 4 months or so after surgery.

Sounds like you may have good luck post-op, as well, fingers crossed!

Not on progesterone anymore, but mines happens only when im aroused. I drip like a leaking faucet and it took me by surprise the first time it happened because i wasn't expecting that kind of change after starting HRT.

Really interesting. Thanks all - I feel much better. On a side note, we call this stuff lubrication but in reading up on it more it's primary purpose maybe to adjust PH for the sexual act, the lubrication being a secondary effect.

These are all anecdotal reports, of course, but I am one that loved the zero emissions after HRT :D  Last year I added progesterone to my HRT but am still staying dry.

That lubrication could be a plus for those of us who get to GCS?  This also suggests a wealth of research is indicated for improving the medical care we receive.

MrsSmith, do you wear a pad to absorb this fluid?
  •

MrsSmith

No,I prefer to just let it be there, and go change my panties when need be, or go to the restroom and wipe it up. Do natural born women wear pads when not pmsing just in case they get wet? no. BTW. If you are like me and totally nonfunctional as far as getting hard is concerned, that fluid lubrication really helps in masturbating. I stay tucked, keep everything pushed flat and kinda just rub the area side to side, and forward and back, and sometimes finger myself, feels awesome, its hot as f@ck masturbating like a girl, my boyfriend loves to watch when i do it. Feels really good, and i get a totally different more intense feeling cumming like this. Love being completely impotent

Actually, lots of cis women wear pantiliners for daily hygiene/to keep dry... My wife does, for example. Not that anyone *has to,* but it's not unusual. (Also, they wear pads for actual menstruation; lubrication tends to increase around ovulation, not PMS.) I did occasionally, though now I don't need to.

I love this post! My wife and I started experimenting with different feeling like me fingering her like a girl and even licking her. She gets super wet too and it smells just like my area (im cis female) I find it really hot to see her shake and scream instead of the boring male orgasms like before.

I had a recent change that surprised me, and by the way, I still have the factory installed equipment. Up until very recently I ejaculated and had a male style orgasm. Recently that stopped. At first this was frustrating, then I realized I was having an entirely different kind of orgasm, less climactic, (pun intended), but much longer and overtime, stronger, and with aftershocks. Plus, if I don't overmanipulate my most sensitive area, I don't have to stop.

Imagine me explaining THAT to the (thank goodness!) female medical student who interviewed me yesterday for my endo. Of course I NEVER would have shared that tidbit with him.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!
