I started HRT today and I am just happy beyond words. This is a journey that I have wanted to take since I was a freshman in High School and that was a very long time ago! God Bless my wife, Maggie, she was there with me and is supporting my transition 1000%! I am so happy to finally be on my way to true womanhood! I love the world today!!!

Hi Kristina,

   Welcome and congrats! It's sooo exciting and a bit scary too this journey we choose. I am new enough to remember taking that first dose. I couldn't believe I was really doing it. Now about 11 weeks in I've got small tender breasts growing on my chest! it's fun, exciting. I can't stop feeling and looking at them. And then I remember the scary parts. Others will have to know. So far only my 2 doctors know and the others here that read these forums . I've survived the telling. Heck my oncologist seemed surprised and almost delighted by the news too. She made my day.
   Cherish that wife of yours. Finding an accepting and supportive one is a true feat. She has to be a true treasure for you.

Congratulations on this huge first step!  And, yes, I echo the other sentiments here in taking time to cherish your wonderful wife who is strong enough to continue standing beside you.  She must be an incredible person to share your life with.
