So for the past few weeks I have been starting to think not only about going through with GRS -which I have wanted for just so many years-, but started to think about the actual logistics of getting this done. Signals from my doctors at the clinic is that they consider me ready to start planning for it and that some of the costs will be covered.. I am not long on HRT yet, but I have been full time for almost 2 years.
I have heard a lot of good about Thai doctors and some US and Canadian ones, but is it possible to do this in Europe? Of course a good result is extremely important to me so I want to have as good a chance of that as I can. Anyone who did their GRS in Europe or knows anyone who did, or know of doctors that come highly recommended I would greatly appreciate any guidance! I had a look at another thread on this in the subforum, but it was quite outdated so I'm not sure if it is advisable to go off that information. I don't want to penny pinch on this incredibly critical surgery and I understand that European doctors are often more expensive than the alternatives, but I would like to go through this closer to home, perhaps in a country where I have friends to support me.
