So far I've applied to five summer camps to be a counselor this summer and I'm nervous about how to disclose being trans if I get to the interview stage with any of them. I'm ftm and would only feel comfortable being counselor to the boys cabin if I had to be a cabin counselor, but I have no clue how to disclose being trans. I'm a bit chest-heavy so I can't bind enough to pass all summer, but I've been on T for almost a year so aside from that I pass well enough.

It's going to be hard enough to get a counselor job, I don't want being trans to be something that is counted against me.

Welcome to the site.

I think I just read a post with a similar concern in the past week, sadly, I don't remember precisely.

I think it depends on the camp you are applying to. There seems to be a past history of some camps having troubles with this. I hope it works out for you.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:

Once again, welcome to Susan's. Look around, ask questions and join in.
