When did you start wearing a bra?

When did you guys start wearing a bra? I'm not even a month into HRT and I noticed my nipples are constantly erect, starting to get tender, and have some "left overs" from last go around. Is it too early for me to start wearing them? I'm wearing a sports bra right now, and must say, it feels pretty good I also don't have friends poking out of my shirt when I wear bras. Lol

Brought my first bra of my own a couple of years ago. Since then I've gone through a couple just through having to trial and error sizes and styles with the pads I use.

"Dan" never wears one.  "Denise" always wears one (except to bed).

When must you?  I don't think there is a hard rule.  I've heard people used the pencil test (can you hold a pencil up by your breasts).  I was always scared to be outed too soon if Dan wore one so he didn't.

I'm going fulltime Thursday night so...

I've been wearing one (with padding) for a while when I dress, just to present a convincing appearance.  However, since going on HRT, I have started wearing a sports bra when I walk the dog (she's a greyhound, so it's an hour-long, vigorous walk!) to protect my nipples.  They get pretty ouchy otherwise. 

I might have to start wearing one at other times too, to avoid poking someone's eye out.  Not that there's anything under them yet, but they sure are pointy!

I got those buds to which the OP is referring when I was about 7 years old (which was understandably devastating for me). It took about 2 years before I was made to wear a bra, and about another 2 years before they were fully developed.

If wearing a bra is something that makes you feel good, just wear one whenever you like. You don't need one until they actually start hanging (which took about 4 years in my case), but who cares? Wear one whenever you're ready.

Just try to avoid underwires, though... especially whilst they're developing.

I never wear one. When I was a CD I used to wear them a lot.  And I used to wear a sports bra when I was first developing because they were so sore.  Now I just wear one if I'm going somewhere where going bra less might be an issue. Like church or something. Why hide one's goddess-given traits under a constricting, itchy, underwire, bra? I like to show them off (under clothes of course).  And it's just more comfortable that way.

A little padding may be required.
To protect the girls bouncing around.
Protecting the nips from scratchy clothes.
And did I mention to enhance/shape what I've grown?  A little padding will enhance A's to B's. (Unlike school grades, that is a good thing l

I'm with Denise. But then I'm a G/H cup, so my bras are engineered, not designed, LOL. I can't wait to get rid of mine. Hopefully this summer I'm going in to be sliced and diced down to something much more reasonable.

It's typical for young girls to start with a "trainer bra" long before they need one, to get accustomed to the feel of a bra and to protect the sensitive breast buds during those early development days. Then to hide the nipple.

I started wearing a bra full time when the thrill/JOY/excitement of having the girls go bouncey bouncey started becoming a tad....... annoying    In other words, about the same reason most cis women do.

Having the "Headlights On" was never part of the equation with me avoiding anything snug in male mode. My tee shirts can fit 2 of me on average

Was seriously contemplating this yesterday.. Ive become quite.. 'Bouncy.' ( I also had a ring bound note pad in the breast pocket of my coveralls at work and that was an experience to say the least Y.Y) I cant see the sports bra being a bad idea. I wont yet be able to entertain that until Im in the proper changerooms at work though. =/

I was about 18 and I took to going about with my arms crossed over my breasts to control the bouncing. Mother knew what I needed but my father strictly forbade me from wearing woman's underwear. The subject of me wearing a bra was brought up frequently but it was always a "hell no" or some variation from him. Finally one day my mother pulled up my sweatshirt and said "Will you face it Fred- he's my size". And that settled that. I could wear a bra around the house but I had to wear a binder and jacket when I went out.

I probably should've started wearing a bra shortly after puberty, I can even remember someone saying as much in the locker room, but I thought I was male then. (That's cathartic to type, lol) Still convinced they're all moob even though evidence keeps pointing toward some level of intersex going on...

  I fully understand the problem of nipples trying to point out that I am growing boobs ;( I am not ready for this development to be "pointed out" to everyone. The fact that I am growing is very pleasing to me but as I said I'm not ready for everyone to know yet. So I now wear  bralettes to subdue those proud nipples.
