Hi everybuggy!

I have a question.  I posted an introduction in the "intro" forum if anyone wants to go read that and my backstory.  I know that every case is different, but I was wondering how quickly someone becomes infertile after starting HRT?  My girlfriend Serra is *hopefully* starting HRT soon, but I've always wanted kids and am concerned that we won't be able to have them if she starts that soon.  We're just trying to think of the future at this point; we've been dating for a year and although nothing is official or really even mentioned marriage-wise, we know that if we want kids to be in our future, it's something we'll have to think about.

Anyways any knowledge on the subject would be grealty appreciated.

danke!

my endo was pretty like. . . broad on the times of when it happens.  She told me that it is POSSIBLE anytime as early as like two months to six months, and it really just depends.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but don't know too much on the issue to be honest, I'm sure one of these experts will chime in here soon.

Hi, Rachel,

IMHBAO, you and Serra might consider placing some sperm samples in a sperm bank for later use via artificial insemination.  There are many of us who are younger and feel like you.  Older lesbians have done it when they felt their "biological clock" getting too close to the end.

Wishing you and Serra a life's love,
