Hello_There

I am more of an introvert and am not really a sports person but recently I've been feeling like I do nothing. I feel like my being afraid of coming out has caused me to feel this way as it has stopped me from going after some things, but in all honesty I am just not ready to come out. Basically, I want to become more involved in my school and am wondering how I should go about doing that.

The best thing to do is to just take the plunge and join new activities. If you have friends who are part of groups you are interested in, you could talk to them and ask how to join. That way you would already know someone there, which can make things easier.

Hi Hello_there

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your time here at Susan's.

Work out what you want to get involved in and go sign up...find a friend with a similar interest and get them to join up with you?

Regards
Liz

Hi Hello-there,

Do you know if your school has a GSA(gay straight alliance) or other LGBTQ+ support group? You don't have to out yourself, just learn and support. You might also see if there is a local youth support in your community.

Are you in high school or further on? You might also try to find a therapist in school or locally to talk this over with.

Good luck,

With warmth,

Joanna
