I've never thought thongs were attractive underwear. The female version of briefs are just ok. For some reason, I've always thought that boy shorts were the sexiest type of underwear a girl could wear. I'm still wearing my old guy boxer briefs and want to switch to the boy shorts. I'm looking for links to cute boy shorts that have enough strength to hold my package in place. I'm afraid that a lot of the lacey ones wouldn't hold up. Am I mistaken? If I tuck I don't tape. I don't care enough.

  Hi Daisy,

I'm Jeanette don't think I've talked with you before so welcome and Hi.  I'm a bikini panty girl myself. as long as the gusset is wide enough to hold me in that is.  I've tried some boyshort panties and though I like the look they don't seem to fit on me as they appear to on the cis-women in the pictures. As a result they don't want to hold me in as one would think they should. I believe it is the different in hip and thighs. Maybe somewhere down the road when I've been on HRT long that will change.  Hmmmm  come to think of it with the changes I've seen already they just might fit better....

  Hugs,

I like Hanes girls briefs. They are cheap but very endurable. I wear little girls' size 10 or 12 for the purpose of tucking. You can find them in Walmart. Also boy short paties are available:

I love boy shorts, especially for yoga! With a guy's body they are great for keeping things in place so nothing embarassing shows during inversions or wide leg postures. For every day I like the ones with the lace waistbands so they don't cut into my belly. Kohls has alot of really cute ones (Maidenform and juniors SO). I think cotton spandexis comfy but they have silky ones too if you like those. Here's a link: https://www.kohls.com/catalog/womens-boyshorts-panties-underwear-clothing.jsp?CN=Gender:Womens+Silhouette:Boyshorts+Product:Panties+Category:Underwear+Department:Clothing&S=1&PPP=60&pfm=browse%20refine

I would also like to find some boy shorts that are comfortable, and work well to hold everything in so nothing is noticed in terms of unsightly bulges. Still haven't found the magic pair tho.  I did find some really great hanes control cotton panties at Target on last year but found out they discontinued them so I can't get anymore. :'(
So I mostly wear the Cupid light control briefs I get at Walmart. They are cheap, comfortable and get the job done. They are disparagingly called "granny panties" but until I can get my surgery, they'll do.

That's what I'm afraid of. They're the only ones I like though. :(

I mainly wear boy shorts, bikinis and string bikinis - with the occasional thong. For me i find everything fits pretty well and while it is true some coverage is lacking in some brands or styles, simply getting the same style from another brand works for me.

I sewed my own from a pattern, I used spandex as the outer layer and cotton as the inner layer.

They end up looking like a cross between a brief and a 1960's bikini bottom.

The pattern I started with was a Jalie:

I wear hiphuggers/hipsters. I've bought from Victoria's Secret, Aerie, and Soma (I'm a sucker for those 5 for $25 types of deal). I haven't really noticed a difference toughness wise between the brands; if anything the largest differences that I've seen have been between different types of panty from VS.
