Hello Susans Forum!

Decided to finally make an account after lurking! Also thanks to the kind people who helped me with a problem I had when registering.

I'm 23 and from the UK, been questioning/suppressing my feelings for 3-4 years now and like most, they go away for a little while and just come back stronger than ever... (MtF Questioning)

Unfortunately due to a crappy job I don't have my own place and find it hard to experiment with clothes etc so I am firmly in the closet so to speak and I honestly doubt I will ever transition due to insecurities (i.e 6ft although slender figure but still :/)

I love reading the success stories on here of people become who they truly are and I applaud you all!

I did email a gender clinic in the UK to discuss therapy but didn't bite the bullet to book an appointment as I thought what's the point, I can't transition yet.

Only thing I am on right now is Finasteride and I am growing my hair out so maybe it's a step? Started to take care of myself health wise too, still in kind of a dark place mentally as you constantly think about it, you see women out in public and get jealous? I don't know, I also constantly keep an eye out for taller women who are my height and think, hey it is possible!  :(

So that's pretty much where I am right now, kind of a short intro....

See you around.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I may have had the same problem you had as my activation email were judged as spam. Things worked for a bit when Susan had the site reclassified but then they got corked up again. My email provider has a setting called a white list. Anything on that list is passed without filtering and it ended my email problems.

In any case, you should think about making and appointment. The wait list extend two years or more and sometimes that's just for the first therapy appointment. While the clock is running down, you could be working on getting the rest of your life in order.

As for height, I am 6'2" or 1.88 meters tall and I am no where near the tallest person on the site. Height hasn't been an issue for me and I transitions far enough back that there were fewer tall women around. It's a little difficult finding stuff to wear but just about anything you want can be found on the internet.

Just let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Thanks for the links Dena!

Yeah it was something to do with my emails, I created a new one to keep my account separate from my main one since I use it at work and didn't want any prying eyes at this time and it wouldn't let me register at first but it's fixed now thankfully.

I should get on the therapy list as you suggested, I think the GIC in Charing Cross where I would get sent to is about 2 years, I may save up for a GenderCare one although it's very overwhelming at this time.

2017 needs to be the year I get the ball rolling in terms of figuring this out, maybe try and get my own place etc.

At some point and possibly now, you can turn off all emails in the profile if you desire it. In my case, I have every thing turned on so it echoes personal message and a ton of moderator messages. My email programs is set to sort out the different message and I have received over 5,000 new member alerts.

In any case, you can minimize the amount of email you receive from the site if that is desirable.

  Hi J2J

I'm Jeanette, I'd also like to welcome you to Susan's Place. I hope you will stick around and chat with us awhile. It could just help with some of that despondency I think I detect in your post. That feeling of I can't do anything about it so why bother.  That part where you said

Really struck a chord with me.  For about 3 years I lived in my sister's living room on the day bed. There were 5 of us living it a 2 bedroom apartment.  So yeah I know where you are coming from. Still I had a very small stash I hid in my car and under the bed. With it I was about to occasionally get my fix. Usually on supposed fishing trips alone.

Where there's a will there's a way.

Welcome to the forum J2J.
You shouldn't worried about being tall, slender is a good start.
I am 5'11". And love being tall, not the tallest either.
You are good and young too, that's an advantage. I started HRT at 26.
What do you do with yourself as regards past times hobbies and stuff?
And you need to remove the first J of your name and add a Z at the end :3
Lol kidding :')

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Don't know why I didn't sign up sooner to be honest, feeling a bit anxious today as it's the first time I have really spoken about this to anyone.

Thanks Jeanette :)

Certainly feel welcome here, among others who face the same struggles that I do.

I guess it's somewhat comforting that I am not alone.

Good to see I am not alone with being tall, it's certainly something I still think about although it's somewhat common to see other tall ladies out and about so it's not out of the ordinary I guess.

Not much when it comes to hobbies, I like messing with computers going to the gym to keep fit! Also I guess learning to drive is a hobby? Not going all to well at the moment, instructor said I need more lessons haha.

How about you?

Being tall is elegant.normally get great legs as a result :3
We will always strive for the most feminine to reassure ourselves and others we are female.
It's like growing our hair out, sometimes I would like to try a shorter style, for some it would even suit better, it's just in our heads long = female. A cis girl can get away with as she doesn't have to prove to the world she is female.
Oh gym and computers is an odd mix! X3
My bro is a computer guy, he built all of our computers back when we gamed like hell.
Nice to learn to drive, you will get there! For me it was the best thing I ever did, I lived in the middle of nowhere in Ireland, and so liberation when I first got on the road was amazing.
That would be pretty much my main hobby would be cars, then gaming most FPS, and art.
I always drove either on the yard, or the times illegally with dad or over back roads, lol, I never needed no lessons bar the obligatory one or two, to satisfy the test guys. Don't be driving illegally mind, this was back when you could get away with it and where I lived you never met none on the road.
