Hello everyone –

I'm about to send in my deposit for mid-May FFS with Dr. Javier Rossi in Buenos Aires. I've done my research, (including contacting previous patients) and just want to make sure I'm not missing something important.

I'm really only aware of one dissatisfied patient of Rossi, and she has posed here under the names "Teardrops" and "Fire Starter".  Is there anything else that I should know about Rossi? Bad experiences, etc.?

Over the last 2.5 years, I've had in-person consultations with Dr. Z (Chicago), Dr. Simon (Facial Team - Spain), and Dr. DiMaggio (Buenos Aires). Dr. Rossi was the only one I didn't actually meet directly, although we had a Skype consultation.  All of the surgeons recommended Type III forehead work, as well as nose chin & jaw reduction.

Dr.  DiMaggio was actually my first choice. Unfortunately he requires a month in Buenos Aires, which I just can't manage with family/work obligations. I viewed Dr. Rossi as a "close second", and he and Di Maggio gave me almost the same quote.

If any of you have info/advice for me, please share it here or feel free to PM me. Thanks!

In Sept 2015 Dr Rossi did a lot of bone work, Type III etc, and soft tissue work.  I am satisfied with the results.  If my insurance will not pay to replace my >30 year or breast implants I would return to Dr Rossi, at that time I would consider getting some touch up soft tissue work done.  Having said that I will not have any facial soft tissue work done by itself.  I'm an older woman and have no need to strive to look like a 30 year old.

I posted quite a bit in my surgery thread.  You can find it by looking for threads I started.

good fortune in your future.

Other than a recovery that was tough and required a lot of patience, I didn't get any issues that are worth to mention related to my surgery. On the contrary, I am very happy with the results and if you decide to go to Dr. Rossi after all your research I am sure that you will be in good hands.

BTW, did Dr. Z really recommend a type III forehead? It would be the first case I've heard about.

Hi Celia -

Thanks very much for sharing a bit about your experience. I'm glad it was positive!

And you're absolutely right, Dr. Z did NOT suggest Type III, as he does not offer it. I should have proofread my post. It was Dr. Simon, Dr. DiMaggio and Dr. Rossi who recommended Type III.

Hello Deeiche -

You might recall that I had emailed you directly, after Amanda gave me your contact info as a reference. Thanks again for your detailed response. I also have read your thread(s) here, which have been very helpful.

Hello Taylor.

I am currently also pondering booking an apponitment with Dr.Rossi for a little later May than yourself.
Of course i have much of the same concerns as you but apeart fromt he one story you also mentioned I wasn't able to find much bad about Dr.Rossi or T-Change.
And believe me i really tried. In general I learned that you can dig up some "dirt" on any surgeon if you look long enough. But apart form the mentioned case Rossi's patients seem to be very content with their results across the board even after the full healing period and it doesn't seem like there is a disproportionate rate of complications.

If time is right maybe we will meet in Buenos Aires.
Greetings Blueberry.
