Do you simply slice open a pancake and stick in some slices of banana?

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.
Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Be brave, be strong.  Try a little kindness.  I am a brown eyed brunette.

I made thin pancakes, put sliced bananas in a vanilla sauce in the middle and then rolled them up.

my favorite Breakfast thing that I like to make is French Toast...
Usually served along with some type of link or patty sausage or Kielbasa.... or perhaps a ham slice or some bacon.

Yum!  French toast!  I happen to have a killer recipie for French Toast, suitable for entertaining an army of overnight guests at breakfast.

@Michelle_P
Dear Michelle:
Yes indeed, when I am entertaining multiple overnight guests... French Toast is my go-to menu to fix everyone for breakfast....

I like your recipe that you shared, I will very soon have to try making your special French Toast... perhaps over the next weekend.
I love the sweetness of Challah Bread and it is so rich an tasty and of course
the addition of Grand Marnier ... but only ONE TEASPOON ???

Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle

I have two main breakfasts...

1) Cold cereal or hot cereal if it's winter.

2) 2 pieces of toast + 1 or 2 soft-boiled eggs.

That covers 98% of mornings. Maybe once a month, especially if I'm hungry because I didn't have a big dinner the night before, I'll make either pancakes or french toast (especially if I have old bread to use) if I have a sweet hankering, or a fancy omelette. Once a year, I'll make a batch of hash if I have some leftover meat I have to use. For instance, I often make corned beef hash after St. Patrick's Day. And if I have guests over, I usually make a batch of muffins...easy and always popular.

This morning I made waffles with link sausage.

My older southern lady also told me chicken and waffles are big in the south. She said you put fried chicken on top of waffles and then pour syrup over all of it. I love trying new recipies and cooking new dishes but I just can't imagine this one. It actually sounds kind of icky! Has anyone had it before??

Fried chicken and waffles is a specialty of a local restaurant.  I've had it a couple times in the last year.

You are probably right about that. They do love waffles and the love fried chicken so I can see them liking them with each other.

I've had chicken and waffles a few times and it's much better than it sounds like at first. I really enjoy it.

During the week I pack breakfast to go to the office, almost always overnight oats with a little fruit mixed in. When working from home, its usually hot oatmeal sometimes grits or once in a while yogurt and fruit.

Weekends vary-- eggs, pancakes, biscuits all are in the mix. Rarely I'll do a bagel. Even rarer I'll use up a potato for hash browns with my eggs. I've kinda noodled around to get decent 'cooking for one' recipes, scratch biscuits and pancakes are not hard. They freeze well too.

Oh yeah.. and coffee. I use pour over coffee. Technically a bodum pitcher with hario filters. I am counter space limited so it works for me.

Porridge for starters then kippers tomorrow. Had porridge & scrambled eggs on potato cakes today (had to use the potato cakes as sell by date was near).
I usually like a full  English, Cumberland or Lincolnshire sausage, smoled bacon, fried egg, fried bread, black pudding & brown sauce but I need to lose weight again

These are just some of the breakfasts I cook, it does not mean I eat all of them.

Porridge.
Scrambled eggs and crisply streaky bacon with herb fried tomato.
Scrambled eggs with pancetta mix.
Full English inc black pub.
Half English, everything without the meat.
Omelette with fillings.

Hugs
