Got busted by my 14 year old daughter this morning. Kids don't know yet, well, didn't. Not sure if and when to mention it to my wife. Had a talk with my daughter. She says she's cool about it, but I worry because she's introverted and keeps things in.

How does your wife take to matters like these, and trans issues?

Based on my experiences with my mother and father, my father knew first and we didn't tell my mother out of fear of how she would react. Then when she found out by accident through my father, then everything blew loose in the worst possible way.

I know I had a bad experience with it, but I hope it is not the case with you. I would plan for the worst, hope for the best. If confronted, it's best to be honest and straight up. I hope all goes well, and we are here to support you.

Well if your daughter is introvert then you can be at ease knowing that she won't out you. But as findingreason said, accidents happen and if I were you I would be thinking not on whether to tell your wife, but how.

Don't make it a one time conversation. Kids are fantastic and understanding but you can't just say it once. Keep explaining how, why, you do what you do. Explain the struggles you've had knowing you did not present on the outside what you felt on the inside. Lastly Don't borrow her clothes. : )

Wife knows since before marriage, but worries about who knows and who might find out. She's worried kids can't handle it.

My wife knows I am. Just wants to control who else will know.

I'm way too big for any of my kids clothes.
