Can you tuck and cycle without hurting/damaging yourself?

I cycle as my regular means of transport, to get around town. I'm not talking about wearing special cycling getup - just my everyday wear. I'm about to go full time femme and haven't had a chance to experiment yet.

Is it possible to cycle comfortably while tucking? I hope to keep tucking to a minimum, by dressing to hide the bulge. But I'm the sort of woman who mostly prefers trousers for day-to-day wear, so it's a bit limiting.

I'll be hopping off my bicycle and heading straight into the office, into shops, and so on.

Will this limit me to wearing voluminous skirts and combos with long tops?

Thanks!

Skirt and long top must tidy away or get caught in the poke or tire. I saw some cis woman ride bike in skirts before.

Well I ain't gonna try it!
Of course, I don't try to hide my parts anyhow.

I suggest very loose trousers or a custom saddle.

And really, skirts are the most fun when biking!

I always wore pants, shorts, or capris when bicycling, and was always tucked. No discomfort or any other related issues.

It took me about 2-3 weeks to be comfortable when I first started tucking, and it was about 2 years after that (and 1 yr on HRT) that I took up biking. Regular seat, nothing fancy.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

  Hi Sagebrice,

I'm Jeanette, 64, mtf and unofficial greeter. I see you are new here. Welcome. May I suggest you run on over to the introductions forum and create a post introducing yourself so we can get to know a bit more about you and give us the chance to welcome you properly?
As for your question I truly have no idea.  lol
Hope to see you in introductions soon.

sagebrice,

Hi and welcome to the site. So sorry this is so late getting to you.

I do not cycle to the extent you do. However, I have been tucking non-stop for over two years now. It takes some getting used to but I don't seem to have a problem. I do remember having to shift a couple of times when I was first tucking.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:

Why not try cycling shorts underneath your clothes. The spandex should act like a gaff and hold your package in place. Or so that is what I would imagine. REI has a large selection and the happen to be on sale. Since I am not well endowed it is not much of a problem for me as after 8 months of HRT my testes have shrunk and now can be pushed back up into my body.

I am tucked at all times I like wearing short shorts, yoga pants and sexy outfits. None of which look very good with a bulge. I have no problems doing anything physical. Actually I find tucking offers more protection. Once you start tucking on a regular basis your testicles retreat back into your abdomen.  This offers some protection against accidental trauma. More importantly you can endure a moderate impact to your crotch without being incapacitated or going to your knees which is a good way to get outed.  You get used to tucking after a while. I have been tucking most of my life so being untucked is uncomfortable for me at this point.
