I'm FTM. I've been on T for a little over a month. I pass pretty easily. (just background info to make answers a little easier, maybe.)

I've always loved to travel. I haven't in a few years between finances (job searching sucks as we all know) and coming out (hotels want an ID, campgrounds sometimes ask for ID. I hate showing my ID.) I have a small child and a husband. I really want to vacation this year. I'm nervous about the idea of traveling with my family. Two gay guys and a female toddler seems like it'd raise red flags but maybe that mentality comes from growing up in the uber-religious, small town, midwest area I'm from.

Anyhow, I'd love to overcome these anxieties and take a trip with my family. My family always loved vacationing when I was young and I want to share that with my kid. Are there destinations that are both cheap and openminded in the US (no passport, yet.) Is it actually going to be a big deal to anybody that two guys have a little girl? I don't plan on flying (pricey, TSA nonsense, ID induced dysphoria, etc.) but are there any other issues people have encountered traveling while transgender?

Florida, especially Orlando and Ft Lauderdale. Don't forget Key West. All trans friendly and accepting for many people.

Disclaimer: I live in Miami area.

Cool! I'm probably being paranoid with my worries.
