Watch out for the Gatorade as it contains Potassium in sufficient quantities to be risky. As for water, you intake at the lower end would be about half a gallon a day and could go over 2 gallons a day if you are sweating heavily. The best way to judge your intake is your urine should be pale yellow to clear. If it's dark yellow your not drinking enough water.

That said if you are taking vitamin supplements, the color test can be a bit misleading especially in the hours immediately after taking them.

All this talk of water water water Drink lots of water!

Not just  here but all over, people claim you have to drink lots of water.  I drink at best 32 oz a day, some days I am lucky to drink 16 oz.  I think I would drown if I tried to drink what people say you should drink. I have asked my doctors about it and his answer was basically, " If you are thirsty drink " I do try to drink more before I go have blood drawn or an IV put in but otherwise I don't make an effort to drink much. I drink water almost all day long, a swallow or two when I feel like it. I keep a bottle if melting ice water at my side most of the time so I have water when I want it.  My water is virtually unchanged even after starting Spironolactone last December.
As far as the pee test goes it is usually darker only  first thing in the morning.

It seems to work for me.

Sorry, that is after the second oops of water.  I was drinking 8-10 bottles a day, roughly 160oz.  Right now I am still puffy, even with the reduced water intake.  I am even thirsty right now.

My wedding band is leaving a 1/64 to 1/32 deep ring around it's position.  I have a DR appointment next week that will hopefully find a cause, as I think I may have a bleeding ulcer or something in my GI tract.
