Hello! I'm Rick. Apologies if parts of this post are a bit hard to read, my english isn't quite good. Also apologies if this isn't the right category to post this in ^_^''
So I am trans guy and who is really dysphoric about his body to the point where I feel just plain awful whenever i see my chest/thighs/etc. I've been binding my chest for a few months now.

In a few weeks, me and my mother (who is generally unsupportive of who i am) will be going to Russia for the summer break. The problem is that the flight itself is 10 - 13 hours long and we have to arrive 3 hours before the flight even begins, which is waay past how long I should be binding. As mentioned before, I feel awful whenever I see my chest so I really don't know what to do.
Do you guys have any suggestions on what should I try to do so that I don't accidentally end up injuring myself?

Welcome to Susan's Place. Youth talk was one possible place to make your post however I am moving your post to a place where it's more likely to get a better response. The guys sometimes discuss using two sports bras which may not provide as much control but it would be better than nothing. I will let the guys fill you in on the detail.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hi Rick! I've been binding with GC2B binders for the last few months, and they're really great. I can wear them for 12+ hours without a problem, and I can move and breathe easily in them. Underworks are also good, but not quite as comfortable.

The other thing is that since flights in general aren't a comfortable thing in the first place, maybe try layering two sports bras instead? They would be a bit more comfortable than binding, given the length of your travel day. You could also change out of your binder into a sports bra at some point during the day if it's too much. Hope you enjoy your trip!

That sounds like a very good idea, thank you Hughie! I've actually ordered a gc2b binder recently so I'm pretty excited to try it out. Once again thank you very much!

I'd probably go with the dual layering sports bras, or even just one (if you're smaller chested that is) and a loose shirt over the binders.  Keep in mind, that its not only a long flight, but at some point you may just want to sleep, and sleeping with something so tight is not a good idea.

I personally do not think its the best idea to bind with the binders for somewhere around 18 hours, give or take, since you'll also need to include the time it takes to pick up luggage, get out of the airport, and to wherever you are taking. Even good binders like gc2b's binders really shouldn't be worn more than 8-10 hours.

I am done crying over not being feminine.
I am done griping about being too masculine.
I will be me.
And that's a non-binary being.
I am... ME!

The story of a girl trapped in a guy's body.
A boy trapped in a girl's body.
No.  Its the story of a... human being.
