Headwraps?

Since I've been out at work, I've been wearing my best wig daily.  It's pretty good quality, but at this rate it's certainly not going to last forever.  My first patch of transplants are starting to reach skyward, but not nearly long enough to carry the day for me.  I was wondering if wearing some sort of head wrap would be considered culturally insensitive?  That would certainly give me options and stretch out my wig life a little. 

I've played around with a couple of buffs, but I don't seem to be able to keep them down where they're supposed to be without maybe using a staple gun?  I end up with this sort of elf look, which is NOT what I'm going for.  Besides, buffs seem to look a lot more casual, and might be less acceptable in my workplace.  Thanks for any insights.

Cancer survivors and high fashion models wear head wraps so I don't see a reason why somebody who is  follicle challenged shouldn't be permitted to wear it. The catch is it may not work well for some facial structures like mine. If you have a long face, you need the fluff of hair or a hat to help round out your face. Otherwise, wear it in good health.

I wore headwraps for over a year when I lost my hair from chemo. I had an expensive wig but it was hot and itchy and I hated it. For me it seemed to advertise the fact I had cancer but then I looked quite ill anyway. Since you look healthy people probably wont think you are sick if you wear one. I say go for it. There are lots of pretty wraps .

Funny story, I DO have cancer, although it's in remission for several years now.  I guess I could always throw out the cancer card in a pinch. but that feels just a bit desperate. 

Thanks for the replies.  I was thinking about one that's open on top, as I have plenty of hair to hang out in a ponytail or some such thing, I'm just biding my time until my forehead forest grows back.  I may shop around a bit for now and see what I find.

I know people that wear them and look great. And culturally insensitive? Phhhht....usually spoken by a white person eating Pad Thai with chopsticks.
