how well it would stand up to everyday tasks such as washing the dishes, showering, or even just washing your hands?

While you should be fine washing your hands. I wouldn't recommend the other two activities.
It's really only designed to last a few days tops. If you like to change your color often or like sparkly polishes, it's great to use.
