I was not expecting it, not at all ... just getting into the shower I decided to be brave and have a full length naked profile looksee.  I was quite surprised what I saw ... "hmm she looks pretty good ... hey wait a minute that's me!"  I've never seen me in the mirror before, it was always some old guy, but today that changed.  It is indescribable.

Amazing, isn't it?  I only recently reached that point, and even now it is only occasionally. (I have... issues... about mirrors. :p )

Congratulations on hitting that milestone!

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

For me it was the eyes that said it all. One morning I looked at myself while putting make up on to go out and wow I saw girls eyes looking back. I will never forget the first look and seeing the girl look back.

Now I can't stop looking in the mirror. I finally see my true self.

Yeah, I'm still really early in this journey and have had several of what I call mirror-piphanies. Usually at night when I scrub my face and moisturize I see the difference and have to smile. I too have never liked looking in the mirror and now enjoy what I see. I see Wanda and don't care what others see at this point. I also have more pictures of myself over the last 5 months than the previous 55 years, LOL.

At first it was like trying to pick out the image in one of those stereograms - sometimes I could see it, sometimes not.

I was trying to get back home from grocery shopping and needed to set the bags on some nearby table to get a good handle of it.  I saw a very attractive girl in my peripheral vision and turned to look.  It was a mirror!  I was shocked because I didn't have a single masculine feature, and couldn't even pass as a guy in my "male" clothing (I'm still not "out.")
