I'm having a heck of a time. I went looking to purchase a packer for almost a year now. For some reason I kept hesitating despite having bottom dysphoria. Now it occurs to me why. All the packers I find look more like dildos and less like a everyday genital region. This bothers me.

I can't find a packer that mimics a non-erect penis. Personally I would go for a packer that mimics the look of a Metoidioplasty. I honestly don't want to attempt to mimic a look that's not personally achievable for me. well, not till science advances into full penile transplants anyway. It's kinda like the feeling I got when I was a teenager staring at models that weighed 103lbs, and feeling bad about my size 12 pants.

I'm wondering if anyone else has this sort of dysphoria issue? Is this penis envy? Anyone know of a packer that's "really realistic"?

Perhaps you could buy a 3D printer and make your own. Just an idea, though maybe if you came up with one like you suggest, some other people would want them too.

A lot of packers you can buy (Mr Limpy, Masho) are just designed to give you a bulge in your pants; but you can buy realistic packers which look like real penises ( can have veins put on, optional hair and are custom designed to suit your skin tone); although they cost a few hundred pounds.

As for phalloplasty the procedure is a lot better from what I've heard than it was in the past.  It's possible to get full sensation (depending on what part of the body you take the skin graft from) and you can choose to have a penis pump put in to achieve erections; although that may be a bit of a hassle sometimes.

For me personally I only used packers very briefly and stopped due to them causing more bottom dysphoria; because it caused me to focus a lot more on that area. But using an stp (a Mr Limpy with a funnel attachment) made me feel a lot less dysphoric than using a packer. Just something to consider.

Not sure if you're on T or don't want to take T, but since being on hormones I'm happy with the penis I've now developed and it's not uncommon for other trans men to feel the same way.

Try the ReelMagik basic packers. They are the most realistic looking packer that you can find that won't cost you hundreds of dollars. The SOFT version is the most comfortable packer to wear of any packer out there. Trust me, I've tried almost all of the ones available for less than $100. The ReelMagik packers come in five sizes, from 2.25" to 5". I personally wear the 3" all the time. It looks and feels like the real thing and is the same size as a natural penis. It is also the only packer I have ever used that you never have worry about how to pack with. You simply put it in your pants and it looks and hangs like a completely natural penis, unlike all the others where you have to constantly adjust it and worry about how it looks in your pants. They're a little more expensive than packers like the mr. limpy, but it is well worth the money.

I also recommend the "soft" reelmagiks
I have the 5" myself (and a 'classic' 4.5") but I have 100% trust that their smaller ones are just as quality of a product. It's the most realistically moving packer I've had so far, which is one of the things I disliked most about other packers. It flops nicely and has a nice density, and it really feels like skin. I recommend their smaller ones just because you said you want something like metoidioplasty and their smallest one reminds me a lot of a meto dick (though of course not exactly). That one also runs a lot cheaper than the bigger ones, and so the price point is more comparable to thinks like the sailor.
