My name is Jazzmin ( or Jazz for short). As you read in my last post  I am 30 female and live in Queensland Australia I came out in June 2015 and in October 2016 started on the male testosterone blocker first i was on spiractin then i was taken of that this year as it was dropping my sodium levels down 125 which i end up in hospital for 2 week then in march 2017 my transgender specialists put me on androcur then February 2017 she started me on the Hormone Replacement Therapy Progynova.

Since being on Progynova since February this year what physical changes will i go through? All i have seen is my breasts have gotten a little bigger which is noticeable a little bit

Jazz,

Since you just started Androcur and Progynova  4 or 5 months ago, you are just really starting out. Do not expect significant changes until you have at least one year of HRT.

The physical changes many of us MTF transitioners experience include chest and arm muscle loss, hair loss below the neck, fat redistribution with increases to the breasts, hips and thighs, and a softer overall appearance to the face. The list goes on, but these are the major changes.

Although not physical, the emotional changes are so profound, that they merit mentioning. Many of us have reported a calming demeanor. We feel at peace with the world and now everything seems so right. On the other hand, some of us also report mood swings. This has not happened to me, so it must be an individual trait that only affects some  of us.

Keep in mind that all the changes any one person exhibits are variable, since we are all individuals and respond to Hormone Therapy in our own unique way. We can make generalizations about a large group of people, but we cannot predict exactly how any one individual will change.

Is your doctor, by any chance, Dr. Steinbeck?
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

Hi Jazz, I'm also a Brissie girl. :)

I found this timeline some time ago on the net for the effects of HRT. I can't remember where I got it from though. Just keep in mind that everyone is different so your mileage may vary.
