So over the past month or so I've started to get a pins and needles type pain wherever I've been getting new hairs (back, chest, face) just before I start sweating. Once I'm actually sweating it's fine. I've asked my GP and he said he's never heard of that happening before but that it's probably just T related. I'm not entirely convinced as it also happens on my head occasionally and I'm pretty sure I'd had it happen at least a couple of times pre-T.

Has anyone had anything similar happen to know if it is/isn't T related?

I personally haven't had this as I haven't been growing any new hairs, but I have heard of other FTMs going through what they call "prickly sweats" once they started T which are exactly like you've described. I feel like it's nothing to worry about!

The opposite. In the past I would get subtle "prickly" sensations when the temperature in a place reached enough to sweat. I guess it was a sensation caused by the sweat glands activating. Since T though, I haven't experienced it. It was more a thing I noticed in childhood, and less and less with time.

Alright, cool, as long it isn't something serious, I can deal with that.

Thank you

Yeah, I get this.

It´s like getting shoved into a cactus, I usually get it on my chest (due to binder heat), in my face, and on my head.
My GP said it´s probably stress. Which for me makes sense because transition has been rather stressful.

But it won´t kill you.  ;D
