Hello Everyone :)

I don't know if everyone has already heard of it but the '2passclinic' in Belgium offers an 'intensive electrolysis' treatment which lasts for 8 hours per day of electrolysis. During this time a 'unique' pain pump is used to let you bare with the pain!

It works out around 800 euros per day......I am thinking of going over for 4 days and giving my face and body a good blast of Electrolysis (I am currently using laser)

I wondered if anyone had done this before or considered it ? I have watched the videos etc on youtube about reviews etc and it does look really painful at times but could be worth it.... hmmmmm...

Hi Jandy!
I'm considering this after I'm done with laser.
Since I live close to Antwerp, I did try a laser session (beard) and was really NOT happy with the experience (in retrospective the operator was amateurish and I think that the equipment is not optimal for minimizing the pain). In the meantime I found a beauty institute, also in Antwerp, which does a very professional job for less money (coincidentally today was my first session there).
So my plan is to do at least 4 more laser sessions at that second institute and then go back to 2passclinic for electrolysis with pain pump (its a short-acting opioid given intravenously, eventually complemented with classical local anesthesia), because I do have an area of white hairs which as you probably know don't get eliminated with light (IPL or laser).
As for my body... I was an extremely (really!) hairy guy. That was a source of intense dysphoria (and still is, albeit much less now). I would have loved to get permanently rid of all of it in a few days. But lets face it: costs would be totally crazy... enough to make FFS and SRS... twice? 😅
So I decided that I would be a patient girl. 😌 Anti-androgen and estrogen would make the hair finer (and after almost half a year I clearly notice that). And I invested in a good IPL machine (Philips Lumea Precision Plus for about €500), doing 1 session per month 2 days after shaving the area, with surprisingly good results; I used IPL on all my body below neck. I also bought a small electrolysis machine (about 400€) and in about 3 months got rid of most of my most visible beard (cheeks, moustache, chin); the learning curve was steep but it was well worth the money... of course, not everyone is into this DIY thing. My wife also learned it and now I sometimes do electrolysis on her, and her on me! 😉
I'm pretty confident that I won't have any significantly visible body hair in about 6 to 12 months and the few white ones on my chest are gonna be zapped by my wife. The beard area, however, is too sensitive to entrust to someone else without serious analgesia and that's where 2passclinic comes in. 😊
Caveat emptor: I've always been very DIY so my solution may not fit people who are not willing to learn, who are really in a big hurry to get rid of their unwanted hair and who have relatively deep pockets. If that's your case, by all means go for 2passclinic. Don't forget that those 4 days will get you rid of just a part of your hair because a variable proportion of it will be in an inactive state and thus not susceptible to electrolysis. Follow-up sessions every few weeks are necessary. And that's how it becomes very, very expensive.
But about 2passclinic... They are super nice and aside my poor experience with that particular laser session, I do highly recommend them (I already go there for my endocrinology follow-up, gender therapist and I already had a consultation with Dr. Bart Van De Ven to discuss my FFS).
If you need more info I'll do my best to answer.

Hugs, Sarah
