Do biweekly T sub-q injections work for you?

Yes, I don't experience any issues near the end of my injection cycle

Just wondering about how often people inject and what works for them! I've heard lots of things about people who have to do weekly because of mood fluctuations. I'm supposed to start off biweekly so I just want to know if that works for many people or if it's likely I'll have to change to weekly.

I've never tried biweekly but with the amount of T I have to inject I prefer weekly just by sheer volume of liquid. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that much subq by myself. I have on several occasions missed a dose (that good old depression) and I never noticed huge mood changes that could be attributed to my T cycle.

If you end up needing a lower dose to maintain your levels, then I wouldn't see a problem as long as moods are fine. But if you feel like you have to inject a large volume at once you could ask about weekly.

I like weekly so that I know every Weds is shot day. I don't have to wonder if last Weds was shot day or was it this week? My old endo liked that too but my new one has the mindset that the less you have to poke yourself the better. It's whatever you like the best.

I haven't started yet, but should be later this week. I wanted to do weekly injections, and luckily I didn't even have to tell my doctor, that's what she is prescribing to me. Doing once a month sounds scary to me. Too many hormones at once.....I'm prone to crazy, so no thank you.

Plus just in case I were to have any adverse reactions, it's probably a lot easier to let one week of hormones get out of your system than having to ride out a whole month if it does something really weird.

I do weekly sub-Q injections and alternate between thighs. Lately, though, I've been considering adding my stomach to the list of places to inject.

From everything I've read and gathered, I think I'm actually on a pretty small dose. It's working for me so it doesn't really matter, but still. My endocrinologist assures me it's a 'standard' amount but that can be highly subjective.

She gave me the opportunity to do biweekly injections and I didn't hesitate to decline.
1. I'm awful at remembering things so stretching something out even longer makes me more likely to forget.
2. Less chance for mood fluctuations.

I started on daily gel and switched to weekly IM shots at 3 months on T. Didn't notice any difference between the two. Had a dose reduction after my hysto and am considering going biweekly with shots due to the built up scar tissue in my legs that makes it a bit difficult. I don't think I could've handled biweekly shots pre-hysto. My moods would've been all over the place by the second week.

I've always done IM shots biweekly, since that what my endo started me on and I never had any issues with it. I'd kinda like to move to gel and not have to deal with the needles at all, but my endo is old school and refuses to prescribe it for the first year.

I will be starting weekly SubQ injections tomorrow. Between SubQ and IM, SubQ is supposed to provide the more stable level. With IM, the level peaks at 1-2 days and tends to drop from then on, from what I've read. You might find more or less frequent injections are best for you. Either weekly or every other week is most common from what I've heard. I prefer the idea of weekly to keep the ups and downs to a minimum, especially at the beginning while there's still a lot of estrogen floating around in my system. I'm prone to hormonal mood swings as it is, so I'd like to keep my T levels as steady as possible. My endocrinologist suggested weekly as well. :)

I do weekly IM injections. That was what was prescribed, and I had read that weekly was better in general for more stable levels so I was ok with it.  I've only been on it for 8 weeks so I'm not an expert, and I don't have anything to compare it to.
