Okay....Just so I know I'm not going crazy or some kind of freak...Did anyone else get taller when they started T injections???

I was under the impression I would not get any taller and that all my changes would be muscle and fat redistribution, but I've gotten taller (and it's not the shoes, I wear the same shoes every day, just about, I said I felt taller, and my friend has confirmed that I appear taller. I'm going to re-measure my height to see if this is just placebo effect on the both of us or if I actually did grow.

I am 23, and I have heard mixed information...I've heard that my growth plates should already be fused, but also that you can continue growing until you're 25.
My feet haven't changed at all, and neither have my hands, but they've always been pretty "manly" on the feminine scale...Hairy, wide and stubby...

I didn't think it was possible, but I've only just taken my third injection...my jaw feels restless like it's trying to grow, and the same is for my shoulders...my legs are EXTREMELY restless, like every-time I get up from sitting down I have to stretch extensively and even after stretching I feel very uncomfortable and restless, which is not normal and I have double checked myself to make sure I haven't been doing anything different from normal.

To provide a little more information, I am doing [insert dosage here], IM of Testosterone Cypionate

I'm not going to be mad if I get taller...not at all...I'm just really confused? Help?

No dosages allowed, so that will be edited out.

In general, you will have more energy on T so the restlessness could be related more to that than growth.

Growth plates vary as to when they fuse, but most people are done growing completely at 25. Unless they grow wider.

A lot of small changes that seem like growth or bone changes (in the face, hands, feet for example) are just the result of fat redistribution.

You could probably still grow a bit, but I wouldn't count on it. I think what a lot of people experience is changes to posture due to increased confidence that makes them look and feel taller.

My bad! I removed it!

But yeah...I do feel my posture is better for the most part, so maybe that's it. I wasn't planning on getting taller so I'm not going to be super butt hurt if I don't grow any, but if I do manage to grow some, I'd definitely be thankful. -short guy problems-

The need to stretch is an interesting one. I have been exercising ( cardio and strength)  regularly and extensively well before I started on T, the need to want to stretch only became apparent within a week or so of starting on T.  Most of the compulsion to stretch is focused on my upper body.  I haven't really noticed any significant increase in muscular strength so far, other than what is in line with normal training effect. Maybe this will change as I continue to be on T.

I quite enjoy the stretching bit, so I'm not complaining about that.

I also feel as if I'm walking taller and with better posture. That could be due to the confidence boosting side effect of T.

I had my second T shot yesterday.   Of course, effects of T vary not only due to dosage but also due to the physiology and genetics of the individual.

Keep stretching!

I don't think testosterone does much for height. I think it's more like a genetic thing. Before I transitioned my T levels were those of a 17 year old boy which is very high. Even so 5'4 was it for my height. My older brother on the other hand is 6'4. So I think it's like a genetic thing. That or my brother sucked up all the growth hormones when my mom was pregnant with him just to spite me. Lol.  It doesn't matter if you're on the short side, you're still a cute guy.

Hormones, both estrogen and androgen, tend to stop bone growth when your body starts producing them during puberty.

Girls start at an earlier age which results in an average height a few inches shorter than boys, who start a few years later.

If your bones have stopped growing, then Testosterone will not make you any taller, but it will put much more muscle on those bones.

I'm 24 Pre-T and 5 ft 1, I know it's unlikely, but your post has given me a little hope.

Did you find you were actually taller when you measured?

I've been on T close to a year and can confirm the requirement to stretch the muscles out far more often and also a compulsion to go and do physical activities, sometimes just out of the blue. The restlessness exists, not sure if it's a direct effect of T or a result of the greater energy levels and stamina it creates. Probably all of them.

I grew about an inch or two on T, HOWEVER I also have a genetic history of college growth spurts (started T when I started college) and my hands/feet hadn't yet stopped growing completely so there were signs it was possible for me. I've been the same for the past year at least and I'm 21 now. It's rare to grow past 18-20 and even rarer once youre in your 20s. It can usually be attributed to posture changes at that point. But regardless of the reason you measure taller, if you feel taller, isn't that all that really matters? [emoji39] If it boosts your confidence and makes you happy to measure taller due to posture changes, is it really any different than if you truly grew?

It's not just you, Steve. Things seem... farther down than they were relative to my eye level lol. I used to slouch a bit, but even when I do that, things still seem farther away than before. My pants seem shorter. Unless they've shrunk themselves way more than most pants do in a very short period I don't know how that could be. I'm still thinking it's some kind of coincidence for now, just so I'm not ridiculously disappointed if it turns out to not be true, but it's weird lol.
