Packing?!?!?

So there's plenty of information here on Susan's about different packers and the results different guys get from different sizes.  What's more and less comfortable and all that good jazz.  And maybe I haven't dove far enough back into the threads to find the information I'm looking for but here's my question anyway.

How do you keep the packer in your pants??  I love wearing boxer briefs.  Won't catch me in anything else, so there's a step I'm missing.  I haven't purchased a packer yet because I have no earthly idea of how it's kept in your undies.   I'll probably purchase a STP and a regular packer.  I don't really use public restrooms.  Always had a disdain for them (not sure if it was because of my dysphoria lol  ???).

But seriously guys what makes it stay?? Is it some adhesive?

Most of my packers, you just drop it in. Light ones stay in boxer briefs pretty well, heavy ones might need adjustment but cisguys adjust throughout the day too. You can buy a harness if you want to, or wear a jockstrap underneath the boxer briefs, there's lots of ways to do it. But a lot of guys just drop it in or put it between the two layers of the fly.

Some sort of harness set up. Some people like to just drop it in and adjust, but that does not work in my experience. Maybe it's just me.

I use an O ring with tabs to safety pin in my boxer briefs. Even with that if I position it too far up, then it turns sideways, balls and all,  and that's not natural.

Just look up harnesses, there are some DIY like mine or just harnesses for STPs/packers.
I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
I will find my way, If I can be strong
I know every mile, Will be worth my while

When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong

I wear athletic style boxer briefs and just put the packer in those. If the fit is too loose, it moves around. A snug fit will generally hold my packer in place, although positioning it can take a minute. My natural anatomy tends to go slightly left. My packer wants to go to the right, so that's an annoyance. I'm considering a harness, but that sounds so uncomfortable.

Because I hate the idea of a jock strap or o-ring setup crowding my skinny jeans, this is what I do.  I buy regular boxer briefs and sew the fly shut.  From my experience, most guys either piss over the top of the waistband of their underwear or by lifting the leg of their boxers, so a fly isn't really used much anyways.

Mods/Admins, I'm hoping that there's a Tutorial area on SP, (I haven't looked yet) but in case there isn't, I'll put this here.  Feel free to move it if you need to.

First, buy yourself boxers that fit snug but not too tight.  Comfortable is good.

Next, use straight pins to pin the outside front of the fly shut.  This ensures that you have it where you want it to be sewn shut.

Sew along the fly until the outside front is completely sewn shut.

Next, turn the boxer briefs inside out and pin the bottom 1/3rd shut.  Sew the bottom 1/3rd shut, leaving the top 2/3rds open so you can slip your packer inside.

Mine has a flat back, but I don't know what brand it is since it was a gift.  I sit the flat back against my body and I'm good to go!

I have a jockstrap that has a pouch (usually for a sports cup) that I use with a mr limpy occasionally, worn either over or under my normal boxer briefs. If you don't like straps/ harnesses/ essentially wearing two pairs of underwear, you can also get or make packing pouches that attach to the boxers through a safety pin or velcro etc, or sew a pouch directly to your boxers.

Specifically made packing boxers like rodeho etc are supposed to be good, but they're quite expensive especially if you want to pack every day.

This is a great idea, nice and simple! idk why I don't see more guys suggesting this trick

Thanks for all the helpful tips!!! I really appreciate this. I don't mind harnesses so I'll most likely use one. After doing a lot of the research I did on here and these responses, I have pretty great idea of how I'm going to pack and whether or not to buy an STP. Because I really hate public restrooms, I'll buy an STP and try to get used to it in the house first. Seems like the best bet is to avoid the men's room until you have a pretty comfortable routine. I swear the guys and glad on Susan's are some of the best people I know

I have tried the "pin the sock" approach,  it just did not feel right.  I am a man and until I have surgery I am going to do what I can to feel a penis in my underwear. Pinning a sock or pouch with my pecker in it is just wrong for me.

The small/thin/light weight harnesses were digging into my skin and causing irritation, or would loosen up by end of day and the elastic would be sagging.

What I needed was a sturdy, free-balling feel that fit comfortably and securely in my underwear, and none of the online FTM gear shops had what I wanted...so i made my own.

I use a modified jockstrap that has a wide waist ban (2-3"). I cut the cup and straps down to a simple flap hanging off the wide waistband in front, like a loose loin cloth.
In that, I cut a cross-cut, like a X and sewed a large O ring, (big enough for the girth of my packer) into the cloth using the edges of the material. This single modified jockstrap has worked for 3 years now, i wear it every day under my underwear...cost me $16 bucks at the mall, and a small sewing kit $5.

I also work out with Zumba, and one of my biggest fears when using other methods of packing was having my junk come loose, works its way down my shorts and flop down on the floor before i can grab it...with 15 women stopping to stare! Since I made this holder, I can jump, twist, crouch, twerk, cha-cha, salsa or hip-hop and everything stays put and moves as it should move naturally.

on a side note: I would prefer bigger, more realist balls on my packer, not flat on the back side, after though balls.
