Dani Rae

Hi everyone. My name is Dani Rae and my pronouns are they/them/theirs or she/her/hers. I am nonbinary, but past that I change the language I use to describe my gender pretty frequently as I refine my self-understanding. Right now I'm favoring "Genderqueer Riot Grrrl." I am out to most of the people in my life, but I live in an area that doesn't have a large trans community, so I thought it would be helpful to try to find an online community. Hopefully this will be helpful.

Hello Dani Rae and welcome!

By asserting your preferred pronouns I can tell you're already quite well along your way in discovering and enjoying the benefits of being your true gender.  Language is so important in defining who we are and setting our interaction with the world.  "Genderqueer Riot Grrrl" is an awesome description.  One of our active members in Australia is the "Post-Trans Rebel."

We have a summary of guidelines for Susan's that we always provide to new members.  I will include it here for you.

Danni Rae, I want to thank you for being yourself and for becoming a member of Susan's Place.  You now live in an area with a large trans community - we are all right here with you.  Welcome!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. It is a nice change of pace to have the importance of language acknowledged. It is also good to get positive feedback about "genderqueer riot grrl." I have had it in my head for some time but have not told anyone. I look forward to my time here.
