I was reading an article that in summary references the practice that when you ask people, in a blind study situation, their favourite alphabet letters, that they choose letters associated with their names.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Name-letter_effect

It struck me that it could be fun to use it in reverse for those of us choosing a new name.

When I tried it I picked nicyd. Sorry lying! I'm emphasising the difficulty of doing this in a situation that is not blind to the participant.

Maybe we can put together a blind test with random questions and throw one in every now and again asking for a letter? Ok, unlikely but I thought is was an interesting.

Maybe try it out on a friend?

Yindc,
