I think I'm lucky, I only have to shave maybe once a week. I have no hair on my legs and like 3 lol hairs on my chest. If I shave my legs will that make hair come in more? Chest hairs pull? Shave? Face should I shave more often? And if I do will it come in faster?

As you age, your shaving needs will grow

I have heard that hair growing back faster after shaving is a myth, but I cannot confirm. I just shaved my arms and chest for the first time, and within two days they are certainly stubbly but that is far superior to the forest I had before. My face unfortunately seems to need shaving every day or two, and I am considering getting electrolysis and/or laser removal for my face at least.

When hairs first start to grow they're narrow and fine, like a long cone shape. When you shave you truncate the cone. This leaves the end blunt but kinda sharp, like a hole punch. This makes the growing hair seem thicker and stiffer. You don't get more hairs, though.

Having just started shaving my body hair, I am wondering about how fine the hairs are supposed to get after shaving. I've been using a Gillette Fusion 5 blade razor and going over areas carefully many times, and yet even right after I shave there is still the feeling of stubble if I rub my hand against the grain of the hairs. Is that normal, or is there a way to get an even cleaner shave than that?

I've also heard about lotions that cause hair to sort of melt away/ fall off for a short time, though I've been told it starts growing back immediately.

Waxing or epilator.

As Dee said,  shaving will leave a corse/sharp end on the hair, I wet shave every day,  but still suffer from this. Depilatory creams use chemicals to dissolve hair,  but they are strong,  and can burn or damage skin if left on too long. Waxing or epilating will give a longer lasting effect.

Shaving does not cause hair to get thicker no!
You just feel it more with the fine end cut of.
And everytime you cut facial hair, especially when we are at the stage it begins to grow, you think more have come up. These would have come up anyway. You can hardly not shave so that it stay finer. You would have a beared so long lol
All you can do is, hit the laser and electro clinics up
It takes forever, so do it as soon as

Hi girls 💁 I just epilated my chest.  I wanted to do that before my breasts get tender.  How long does it take on hrt for your hair to thin on arms and legs?
Hugs, Jessica 🤷‍♀️

I need to concentrate on my boobs. I need extra smooth skin so that my breast pumps will latch on properly.

Using an epilator, I clip a large peg to my nipple and pull it right out so I can shave over tight skin without nicking my erotic bits!

Hi Jessica

I have been on HRT for about 15 months and I am just starting to see thinning of body hair now...I have also just scored a new IPL home hair removal unit. I was lucky enough to get it cheap. I got it to do my armpits which would have cost more to have done at a salon than the machine cost. I have completed one treatment and will do this for once a week for the next month and see if I get much in the way of shedding. It is able to be used on the face as well but mot recommended for male beards because of the likelihood of patchiness...which is not and issue for me. So I may even give it a go....

Yes, but I love it!

Valerie, that sounds fun, but my nipples aren't large enough for that yet 🤷‍♀️
Since I've been on blockers for 3 months now, will the hair that I epilated on my chest grow thinner?
Hopefully, Jessica [emoji1384]
