My plan, with surgeon's approval, is to do a few minutes this weekend on the trainer.  I'm 3 months and 2 days (13 weeks) post op.

If you're looking for a road bike saddle, I saw an ad for Bisaddle.  It looks interesting

Drum-roll......

I did 5 minutes pain-free on the trainer this morning.  My trainer has the same saddle as my road bike.  Which will help toughen up the sitting part to prevent saddle sores.  If you've ever had saddle sores you know they are no fun.  Think pimple the size of a us dime (~1cm) on your crotch that rubs with every peddle stroke.  Ouchy!

Why 5 minutes?  I didn't want to have some hidden or unfelt pain ruin my day.  So today is 5 minutes and if all is good, I'll do 30 minutes tomorrow.  Then try to do 30 minutes every night (that I'm home).

Fingers crossed.  Hopefully, in a few weeks the weather here in Chicago will get nice and I can pull out the road bike and put on miles on the road.

Try the specialised power pro elaston saddle.  Nice cutout for the sensitive bits and the elaston bits give a bit of cushioning for the sit bones
