I went shopping for shoes today, shoes that I could basically wear all the time, even at work, so I wanted them to be androgynous.  I ended up at Journeys, which is more of a youth oriented store after looking through the windows of a bunch of places.  I went to the ladies section and picked up some slim red doc Martin's.  At this point a salesgirl asked if she could help me.  I asked if she could find this in my size.  I told her I wear a men's 9.  I'm presenting as a man for the foreseeable future.  She immediately goes in the back and gets a women's size 10.  I tried it on, and it fit perfectly.  Wow, that was so easy.  She saw me beaming and asked if I was interested in any others, and I went back to the ladies section and picked some out and she went to go get them.  Could buying shoes really be this easy and fun?  Yes it can.  Honestly, I think she got a kick out of helping a man, albeit tg shop instead of the usual customer.  It made me super happy.  I did get the first pair, and will be returning to buy more when I need another pair.  BTW, the pair I bought does have a men's version.  The ladies is slimmer.  I'm fine with that, fits me great, and I had a great experience.  Here's the link to the shoes I bought

that's all the outings I can do this weekend.  I've got to paint the rest of the weekend.

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.

aww nice! those are cute too, I like the color!! Doc Martens are great too, I love em! I have some heels, flats, and boots that I ordered online, most of which fit, but I think for now I'm gunna wear chuck taylors in public a bit more, I'm gunna get a burgundy pair soon

I like that color.  I'm glad you had a good experience.  It's great that she knew the conversion off the top of her head.

What fun it can be!  When I was shopping last week for panties I was asked if I needed help.  I couldn't find my size in bikini panties.  She found some and pointed out in a different brand they were sized different.  She told me they would both fit me.

Oh, yes! This last Saturday was my first time shoe shopping in person. It's so much better when you try them on first! I had some size 10's that were too tight, so I tried 11 - they slipped right off! They didn't have any 10-1/2, but a 10 wide fit perfectly.
I like the ones you picked out! I think I need to get something like that myself!

I needed sandals bad so I stopped at Payless! She asked if I needed help and of course I said no. I went back to women's 11 and started looking, most were W and I'm a N. she walked back and said you look frustrated and I was! She looked but I wanted flats all she could find was heels. Any way a week later I was with a friend that was scared to go but was willing to go with me! We looked he/she wanted heels but only had narrow. Lol
I have fun shopping! Men and women look or maybe take a second look but are pleasant to talk to!
Just relax don't be afraid and enjoy shopping!
