Post-op questions

I wanted to make one thread for all my questions. I asked some of these to my surgeon some I'll ask later but I'm looking for experiences here. Any answer is appreciated

1-I've often read vaginal lining turns more mucousal overtime, have you girls experienced this? If you did, how long did it take and how did you know?
2-I currently do one long dilation each day and douche with water after. Should I stop or decrease the frequency of douching? I'm three months post-op atm.
3-Is coconut oil a good option as a lube?
4-I suspect I have some granulation, although there's no bleeding and only a little pain sometimes. How long should one wait for it to heal on its own and when to see a doctor for it?
5-For those who ended up with hair more than an inch inside, were you able to get rid of it and how? I imagine laser can't handle it all. How long after the operation is it safe to do electro or laser? Can you find someone willing to work there? Any other solutions?
6-I want to get a revision later to create a fourchette and better clitoral hood. Would a fourchette make hair removal harder? For those who had similar revisions was it under local or general anesthesia?

1. All surgeries seem to produce a little lubrication however your doctor can improve it with a estrogen vaginal cream. Normally you use a small amount once a day with your last dilation. Ask your doctor about a prescription for it.
2. Douching shouldn't be needed long term and it can be harmful as it doesn't allow the good bacteria to develop. You might want to do it after sex but after you are healed, it's not needed.
3. I would be wary of coconut oil because it can accumulate in the vagina and need douching to remove. That said, I am told it works better than anything else and only needs a little dab to do the job.
4. At 3 months you are due for an internal examination. Don't delay because if it hasn't healed by now, it will take a very long time to heal without help.
5. Hair deep in the vagina is a problem and the only solution I have heard of involves using a finger to roll the hair out, some what of a plucking action. Laser and electrolysis as far as I know are unable to work deep inside the vagina.
6. I don't know because hair wasn't an issue with my PI surgery and I never had the second part of my surgery where the external details would have been cleaned up.

Ok I can do the first one. Does it help change the vaginal walls or is it a temporary thing?

I see douching is not normally advised and I want to stop but I was wondering if a trans vagina is self cleaning like a cis vagina?

No coconut oil for now then.

I mean probably about 2-2.5 inches on the bottom side only. 1 inch can be easily accessed with laser or electro but Idk about deeper.

Estrogen helps convert and maintain the vaginal tissue. The cream speeds the conversion and might be used from time to time in order to help maintain it. HRT helps to maintain the vagina as well but it's slow to convert the tissue. When a CIS woman goes into menopause, they also experience a dry vagina and so would we if we discontinue HRT. For that matter, the vaginal cream was designed for CIS women who had problems as the result of menopause.

Our vagina seems to be somewhat self cleaning. When I wasn't dilating, I was getting a yellow stain in my underwear about where the vagina is located. When I resumed dilating, I didn't get a bunch of stinky stuff out of there. The natural bacteria seems to keep things pretty much under control and the small amount of moisture moves anything that's left out of the vagina. it might be different if you are sexually active as I am not. The important thing is it can take months for the correct culture to establish it's self in your vagina. I have see a post where a MTF shared a sexual toy with their wife and the were able to speed the process but it should happen naturally as well.
