Hi girls 🙋🏼  I've wondered what the average age is of women starting hrt here.  But then I realized we are all pubescent 13 year old girls!

I'm 42. Which is only about 30 years overdue.  :(

I clicked on this because I have a pubescent cisgirl kid and I've known a lot of girls as they started hrt, and I want to chime in that there's not a ton of differences. Most mtf women I've known transitioned after 40, so they weren't quite as foolish and intense, but most of it is the same at any age.

Obviously I can't answer your actual question though, good luck. :)

I started HRT at 53, so I am only 40 years late.  And yes I feel like a teenage girl a lot of the time.  If I had been AFAB I would have been a little conservative and kind of geeky/cute, so that is what I shoot for now -- lots of short shorts and handkerchief hems in warm weather, and big sweaters and skinny jeans in the fall and winter.

After a year on HRT my personality seems to be very much the girl I would have been in high school, mellowed by thirty-some years of life experience.  But teenage girly me is very much in evidence -- I love to dance whenever there is music on, I smile whenever I see a mirror, I get giggly or emotional very easily.  And I am very much into hair care and makeup, things I did not care much about before HRT.

It is amazing and wonderful to finally have and enjoy a part of my life that I feared was lost forever.

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

I started hrt at 17. I'm still a teenage girl (for a few more months) . But I like to think I'm a little more mature than a lot of teenage girls I've known.

Hi girls 🙋🏼 I started 48 years late at 61.  I feel younger now than I did pre hrt.
I've always been happy but I think I be happier as a woman.  I'm enjoying my second puberty so much, I can't wait for my breasts to start to grow.  For the gals that started late like me, how has your breast growth gone.  Has age lessened the chance for perky tits or are you developing well?

Hi Julia 🙋🏼  You are so lucky to be able to transition at such a young age.  I wish I had the resources at that age.  If I had, my boobs and labia would already be sagging.

When I look at the before and after thread it always amazes me how much younger people look after HRT. I'm not totally sure but I think the pull of gravity over the years is what makes boobs sag. Since yours will be new I would think they will be perky.

Well one good thing about transitioning at that age is that your boobs with be firm and perky while other women that age need knee socks instead of a bra .lol

Mine started growing at about a month, and grew for a couple of months. :)  Then, though they filled out a bit, they didn't get any bigger.  :(  Now, I think they might be growing again.  :)

I was recently heartbroken when I couldn't fill a 38AA bra.  Except all the AAs that they gave me to try on were huge.  It had to be screwed-up sizing.  I recently found a 38C that looked about the right size, so I tried it, and it fit!  Go figure!

So I have absolutely no idea what size I am.  My measurements have not changed at all.  I presume that the gain in breast tissue has been balanced out by the losss of fat and muscle.

They may be small, but they sure are cute!

Hi Jessica!!!

Boobs took a while but, they finally arrived to join the party! ... I'm glad I didn't get impatient and rush out to get implants right away! Four years in to HRT and still having little growth spurts! The measuring tape puts me at 32 D now but I usually find 34 C bras more comfortable...

Onward we grow brave sister!!!

Lol, my wife will be jealous of my perky boobs!  Hers are large and heavy and takes a sturdy bra to keep them up.

How do I like my girls? At 8 months along I cannot complain. Like Kathy I do not seen to fill the cups like a cis woman does and wear  a couple of inexpensive 40A soft cup bras and a couple 38b underwire bras that fit fairly well. Also like her I haven't a clue what size I really would be. My girls a what I would think a good firm hand full (it could be nice to see what a man might think blush) that I love to see every time I undress.

  Love my boobs!
