I got ma'amed!

I can't believe it just happened, I had to say something about it! I'm currently on stop two of three on a Texas tour receiving inventory of a company that my own just bought out this week. This trip has been pretty rough for me for a lot of reasons, and after 14 hours working in the office, I finally checked into my hotel room, ordered a pizza and took a shower. Just after I finished dressing, the delivery driver knocked on the door and made my week! I get it over the phone all the time but this is a huge first!

Hi Rambler,

Isn't it fun? I got it several times on my trip but hardly noticed it as I was with other ladies and not only distracted pleasantly talking with them but chalked it up to my being with them and not really thinking i was contributing to the ma'aming. But it has happen when I was a lone since and I like it. Okay I really like it.

I'll say! It happened again in line at airport security this morning and then again in the food court when I was chatting with a woman and her very personable little girl. When I told them that I had a 3 year old daughter as well the woman told her daughter "his-err her daughter is the same age as you." So surreal but very cool. I should mention that I'm still not out publicly. Last night I was wearing some loose yoga pants and a baggy lounge shirt and today just in a tighter fitting men's T-shirt.

... btw, that you get mam'ed over the phone all the time shows your voice is in good if not excellent form... that's not an easy thing for many including me so congrats there too.

It's A LOT easier to stay in my voice over the phone. In person I sometimes get a bit of a mental block that makes it hard to maintain but the further along I go the easier it gets. Do you have a voice coach?
