Good night,

Once, I saw someone came up with an observation from his grandpa which said: "heat steals the human soul, that is why hotter countries may have more internal trouble". Other person immediately replied with: "you is crazy, that makes no sense".

Yet, me in the condition of a migraine afflicted person have noticed which in hotter climates, like at my country (Brazil); my mind becomes more unstable, I feel more pain. Yet, at colder climates, such as europe, I feel I can think better as long as I am wearing the necessary clothing for such climates (which are not as hot as my country). I have seem similar heat effects going on with some other people, even if they have not my degree of headache pain, or do not have it at all. Perhaps people from hotter climates become more outgoing too. On the other side, it seems people at much colder climates suicide more, and are more serious.

My country has a lot of non nature origin troubles, as do africa, middle east, philiphines, etc. USA, europe, germany and others seem more stable countries. There are exceptions in both sides, but I think I am seeing a pattern here.

What do you think of the theory of that person grandpa, which although not fully true; I feel may hold its share of truth?

Curiously,

Hi, Tsukiyoarts

For me personally, reasonable heat is positive. I'm more relaxed, have more energy and can concentrate better when it's hot than when it's cold.

Where I live the average midsummer top daytime temperature hovers around 30 degrees. On the southernmost island the climate is tropical, and on the northernmost it is similar to Scandinavia. The climate differences do of course affect construction, agriculture and the ways people prepare for different seasons. However, I've travelled throughout, and haven't felt the regional differences to be nearly as great as between places here and locations with similar climates in Europe.

Thus, while I'm sure climate has some effect on us all, I do suspect that in general culture and possibly genetics plays a larger role. In any case I'm sure it would be an interesting subject for a research paper.

I have noticed that, the hotter the temperatures get, the shorter the people's tempers get. But then, they flair up around Christmas shopping time, as well. Both the temperatures, and shopping cause stress, which will make people act more unruly.

I don't know. Australia seems to be doing ok.
