Gender affirming glasses

Maybe this is placebo, but I put on my glasses today, haven't worn them in months, and I couldn't believe how goofy I look in them. I'm think it's the weight loss and hrt., at least I'm hoping it's hrt.  I swear, I don't feel like I've changed at all.  The glasses are also masculine which I hate now.  Did this happen to you ladies too?  I'm looking for some gender affirming glasses now.  Suggestions are most welcome.

I am able to order new glasses from the VA sometime in November. You can bet I'm going to the women's frames if I can't get contacts.  Can't wait.

My glasses are frameless and genderless, Silhouette frames.

They were expensive but I like them a lot.

The more square the frames are, the more masculine they'll tend to make you look. Shopping for glasses can be about as tedious as shopping for shoes. The glasses are just something you'll wear more than one of your 20 pairs (or more) of shoes, so they are more important.

That is good advice.  I'm going to wait till I remove the beard and get my eyebrows done.  I think it'll be just as awkward after those steps if I get one that matches my face currently.  Then I'll spend a lot of time picking out a new pair.

There are sites like Zenni Optical where you can get a pair (including lenses) for like, $15 plus shipping. All you need is your prescription, which your optometrist is legally required to provide if requested in the US. The frames aren't super high quality, but they've always lasted me a year or so, and I've never had any problems with them getting the prescription right. If your old frames bother you that much, I really recommend trying some from there to see how you feel about them out and about before investing in an expensive pair.

As someone who's transmasculine, I'm obviously going the other way. But I can say that a big thing is color. Get a pair that's colorful and it'll be read as feminine regardless of the shape. Decorative elements (metal, rhinestones, etc.) are also considered feminine.

Brilliant idea widdershins.  I love the idea of a starter pair before transitioning fully and buying a nice pair.
