I have been wearing a bra on a regular basis for about 2 years now. After some inititial embarrassements with dropped and loose bra straps, I now can carry my straps comfortably on my shoulders all day to give boob uplift without slippage.

But I notice that I now have permanent strap grooves on my shoulders, and the run of my bra straps across my back is traced by bands of paler skin, even though I have not been sunbathing with just a bra and no top.

The grooves are actually handy in locating my straps when breaking in a new bra, but is this normal for regular bra wearers?

Not normally for most of us. Our breast are on the small side and we tend not to have problems with the strap cutting into our shoulder. On the other hand, women with larger breast do have problems and if you google "bra strap pads" you will find that they make a pad that fastens onto your bra strap to cushion it.

As someone who wore bras for around 15-17 years, I can tell you, it SHOULDN'T be normal.  But I can tell you, the bras that fit me best always left grooves.  Why? Because while my torso is long as no one's business, (especially for someone only 5'2") my upper torso is TIIIIIIINY. So yes... many bras have the adjustable straps, but they are really designed to be comfortable for an average body type.  The problem is... 'Average' really is only a finite number of people. So I dealt with the aggravation of uncomfortable bra straps either falling off my shoulders, or digging into them... There never was a good bra for me. Even now, my binders fit me awkwardly for similar reasons.

I am done crying over not being feminine.
I am done griping about being too masculine.
I will be me.
And that's a non-binary being.
I am... ME!

This... is MY story
The story of a girl trapped in a guy's body.
A boy trapped in a girl's body.
No.  Its the story of a... human being.
