Hello everybody. I'm a ftm 25-year-old. I always knew about my gender identity, but didn't accept it until I was 24. I'm out to only my friends and mother (who didn't took it well). I hope we can be friends, see you!

Hi Barry! I saw your thread about coming out, and just wanted to drop in here and say hi. I don't have any personal experience to draw from yet to offer you advice on your mother, so won't presume to, but I will say that there are many here who have spoken about very similar issues. Hopefully you will find the same compassion and guidance I have from this forum.

BTW, it is very disconcerting to see my boy name in print here.  Then I think, that's not me, that's somebody else, Yay!

Hello Barry, welcome!

I am MtF, started questioning my gender identity in the 1970s and waited a loooong time before doing what I needed to do.  I wish I had figured things out earlier.  If a resource like this had been available back then I would have experienced many things sooner.  Transition has worked really well for me so far.
