Does anybody know of any support groups in Vancouver and the surrounding areas? I have looked but everything I find seems to be dead links and or on hiatus. Everything I find available is for youth under 26 years of age, over 55, or for new immigrants. Any assistance I will greatly appreciate

Trans Care BC has a great site. You probably have already seen it. I know that they have a number of groups listed. I had a lot of support from them after my surgery. Give them a call and they probably can provide you with some information.

Which Vancouver?

In Portland, Oregon you might check the local Q Center. I know they have various Transgender meetings including a once a week transwomen meeting.  There is also 2 Veteran transgender meetings there if you are a US veteran. As far as I know those are all that Portland offers, but I could easily be wrong.

I suggest you contact Nicola Spurling  http://www.tricitynews.com/news/lgbtq2-advocate-to-run-for-greens-in-coquitlam-maillardville-1.10056666   Ms Spurling is transgender and representing the green party in coquilam.

Here is a resource list of Vancouver BC   http://transhealth.phsa.ca/support/bc-support-groups

And now WA  try this  http://www.gayvancouverwa.org/resource-test/transgender-resources.html?view=joomd&layout=detail&id=1136

Otherwise Laurie's list to support groups in Portland should be withing travel distance.
