After treatment for electrolysis bumps

Hi everyone,

I'm just back from my first hour long electrolysis treatment. I got the tops of my cheeks and my neck done. The session went pretty well and I honestly didn't find it unbearably painful at all.

The only issue is that I have these tiny bumps on face face where the hair was cleared. It's strangely only on the left side of my face. And they're more prominent on my neck.

I'm pretty sure these bumps will go away on their own fairly quickly but I have work tomorrow and considering I am still stealth I would rather not have to explain why I have tiny bumps over my neck and cheek.

I've been told to apply witchhazel cream to the treated areas and to wear sun block when going outside. Any other tips for trying to ensure the bumps are less noticeable by tomorrow?

I personally use witch hazel woth aloe, and this gel called 'natures aid', which contains aloe vit E, and all sorts of other good stuff for your skin twice daily inbetween appointments. Works like a beauty as well as generally improving the existing condition of my skin.

Hello, uktransgirl.

Just get some Sudocrem from superdrug. It's cheap and is really good. Make sure that you don't rub or scratch the area and keep it clean. If you are in the UK ? hope you are not paying because you can have a number of free treatments on the NHS.

Bumps are a common and short lived side effect.  If they are red is inflammation and your body will heal.  If they are white like pimples its a histamine response to the trauma and will also heal.  I had a good amount of white bumps for a few days.  Witch hazel and aloe helped.  I also used pfb vanish (very similar to tendskin) after 2 days to help dry them out.  I also had lots of red spots on the follicles for about a week.  They had me a bit worried, but they too went away.  If nothing improves after enough time please ask your electrolysist.
