*My Diagnosis:*

*F64.0Transsexualism*

A desire to live and be accepted as a member of the opposite sex, usually accompanied by a sense of discomfort with, or inappropriateness of, one's anatomic sex, and a wish to have surgery and hormonal treatment to make one's body as congruent as possible with one's preferred sex.

*Criteria:*

A. ICD-10 diagnosis of transsexualism (F64.0) in adults requires three criteria to be met:
1. The desire to live and be accepted as a member of the opposite sex, usually accompanied by the wish to make his or her body as congruent as possible with the preferred sex through surgery and hormone treatment;
2. The transsexual identity has been present persistently for at least two years;
3. The disorder is not a symptom of another mental disorder or a chromosomal abnormality.

B. DSM-IV (Updated by the DSM-V) states that GD "is a medical condition in which there is a strong and persistent cross-gender identification and a persistent discomfort with the sex or a sense of inappropriateness in the gender role of that sex".

*YIPPEEEEEE-FINALLY, A LABEL THAT FITS LIKE A GLOVE!!!* 💃

I know the feeling of getting that diagnosis.  It literally felt like I was 50 lbs lighter, was a bit dizzy, and I immediately started crying happy tears.  Welcome to the club Toni O.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began

I've decided I hate labels. If I must have labels I only want them applied to me to help professionals like doctors. I say this because to me they limit me or people infer things with some labels. I would gladly take that label though to continue my journey forward. So congrats!!!!!
