Good day Susan
I have a a few questions to ask.
I hope to be helped with this.

1.Eyelashes. How can I grow eyelashes naturally? My eyelashes is to small for mascara.

2. Is there a quick way to shrink my wide hands, feet and nose to look more feminine.

I hope someone has answers to help me..

Yours
Werrie. (MTF name should be Michelle)

I believe the discovery of minoxidil for restoring hairloss came out of a study where it was used for a an eye condition, and it was noticed that the study members eyelashes grew longer... Maybe something to investigate with the correct medical supervision ofc.
I don't think anything can be done for hands and feet. Rhinoplasty for noses.

I once read in a girls' comic that Vaseline on the lashes makes them look appear more prominent, and that some people think that it even helps them to grow.  Personally, I would be wary of putting something like that so near my eyes, though.

I'm sure that there is nothing that can shrink hands or feet without mutilating them.

Using mascara every day has helped my eyelashes grow slightly. Use water proof mascara. Even with small eyelashes you can put on mascara. This takes a lot of patience and practice, but you can master it after a while. Eye liner is also your friend. You might try false eyelashes, but they are a pain to get on right. If you have a few pounds to lose, weight loss can help a little with hands and feet. You might be able to drop a half size down in shoes. Growing your finger nails a little longer, not too long, keeping them manicured and using a clear nail polish can help create the illusion of more feminine hands. This has been my experience. Every little bit helps. It's all about the details.
Finding 'self' is the first step toward becoming 'self'. Every step is part of a journey. May your journey lead to happiness. Peace!

I don't think minox is supposed to be used on eyelashes because it can really damage eyes? May be wrong. There are some eyelash specific medications though. Latisse is brand name. I just looked it up, and it is super expensive, over a 100 a month cheapest for generics, if your insurance doesn't cover it (which it probably won't for lash growth).

(Edit: fixed saying the generics were cheap. they are not. ;D)

Yes,  do NOT use Minoxidil near your eyes. You could Google 'Latisse', fda approved treatment for short lashes. I've not tried it,  and cannot vouch for either its safety or effectiveness. X

How long does a box of that last? I see it for $60 on amazon which seems high.

Hello Werrie!  (or Michelle - let us know which you prefer),

As your first post I'll add information we send to all new members.  Quick explanation of unique characteristics at Susan's Place, and guidelines to save you time.

Things that you should read

Now... to answer your question regarding eyelashes.  I have been using Latisse for a half year and the stuff is awesome.  Unfortunately the price isn't exactly awesome and it requires a prescription.  I was going to post a detailed write-up on Latisse at some point, but my quick answer is - my own experience with Latisse is the stuff really works.  The difference is obvious after two months and remains that way.  I have seen the price of Latisse compared to the price of having a salon install and maintain false eyelashes, the cost per year is similar.

Hands, feet, nose... something I have been learning (and continue to learn) is we are our own worst critics.  We really are.  I think my nose is too big.  I occasionally find myself admiring how small some women's hands are, and of course many of the common shoe manufacturers don't go beyond a certain size.  And there are women who are built larger on average, or smaller on average - I notice this more when I travel.  A nose can be surgically altered but it's impractical to change the structure of a hand or foot.

When you get a chance it would be great if you can post an introduction in the Introductions Board - we would all like to meet you!

All the best,

Kendra

I would guess they might work on brows. I have never tested it though

Latisse is intended only for upper eyelashes, not lower eyelashes - and no mention of eyebrows.  I was told the reason to avoid lower eyelashes is a small percentage of people using Latisse found an increase in dark circles under the eyes.

After a half year I don't have any increase in dark circles.  I applied Latisse to my lower eyelashes for a few months but cut back after my lower eyelashes grew too long... I actually had to trim a few.  I never tried it on my eyebrows, but at the cost of this stuff I am not going to be doing experiements.

If you stop using Latisse does its effects reverse?

All hair follows a growth/shed cycle, including eyelashes.  If you stop Latisse for a few months I think the effect goes away as new growth is without treatment.

I'm a little girl (5'7") with big hands and feet and I've learned a few tricks.  1)  Always wear bright nail polish with feminine, shaped stick on nails or nail extensions.  The bright color and shape of the nails distracts the eyes from the rest of your hands and makes your fingers look longer.  2)  Wear tops or dresses with bell sleeves if you can find them.  The big sleeves make your hands look smaller.  3)  For casual wear thumb hole sweaters and sweatshirts work well too.  4)  Use darker colored nail polish on your toes than your fingers.  5)  Heels will visually shorten your feet by tilting them at an angle.  But don't wear heeled shoes with thick soles under the front of the foot.  These will make you look like a member of KISS.  6)  If you have to wear flats, wear espadrilles or ballet flats.  7)  Some sandals with wide straps will make your foot look smaller by visually breaking up the outline of the foot.

Applying a thin layer of coconut oil with a Q tip or spoolie brush each night before going to bed did as much for my lashes as the expensive products I've used to make them grow!

Get an old mascara spoolie and wash it. Stick in castor oil and apply to lashes. It works.

Don't know if its any use to you, but I found hrt changed my musculature and how the tendon sit so my hands while not actually smaller naturally curl in more and look more compact. I also had my shoe size reduce by 1/2 a size. I can't say how this happened but its real.
