I wore make up to school starting when I was 14. I was never sent home but I got bullied a lot. A couple of times I complained to teachers about being bullied and I was told "what do you expect? You're wearing makeup. You bring it on yourself".  school really sucks for trans kids.

When I was at school they would have sent a girl home for excessive or obvious make up, never mind a boy. They were against kids trying to sexualize themselves or make themselves look older with it. Perhaps because those kids would then go to the stores and buy alcohol and cigarettes. Either way any obvious make up wasn't allowed, nor was obvious and excessive jewellery or clothing etc.
