those are cute! I hope you have a great time! please post pics of the rolls when they're done! I've tried to make them before and I can never get the texture right. I bought some dinner rolls for tomorrow because I knew my mom wouldn't buy any because she can't have gluten lol

Tomorrow I'm smoking a ham and I'm making collard greens and my mom is making scalloped potatoes and peanut butter pie

Maddie:
I hope that the dinner you are making for Easter Sunday is enjoyed by all!!! ...  Ham and Scalloped Potatoes go together like bread and butter.... great choice!

So, as you requested here are the pictures of the dinner rolls I baked late last night:

Proofing at very low heat... getting them to rise.

Now that the rolls have risen, I poured butter on top,( mmm, butter!!!)

Done, out of the oven, waiting to cool before breaking them apart

My house always smells so very good after baking bread and other goodies.
Please everyone, have a Happy Easter and a great dinner with friends and family.
Hugs, Danielle

Beef cooked in whole spices, rice and dry mixed veg curry, veg samosas and for pud made Indian semolina pudding . Very rich 175 g semolina , 175 g unsalted butter, 100 g milk, almonds , sultanas , crushed cardamom seeds and 450 ml milk. Not like the stodgy  semolina used to but crumbly and buttery.

@ Chrissy:
I wish that I had some leftover ham and all the other goodies from an Easter Dinner.... but I was invited out to Easter Dinner and therefore no leftovers in my refrigerator.  I did eat plenty yesterday however, so I am not starving.... yet.
All the dinner rolls and the cut-out cookies that I baked and brought to the dinner were all eaten, nothing to bring back home for me to snack on.

Maddie: I guessed that would be the case so I did keep ONE roll and 3 cookies in my fridge for my later consumption!!!!  The 3 cookies and the roll I kept were "culls" that had cosmetic issues but they sure tasted OK.

@ V M:   Not a problem, I love lots of meat, either Ground Beef and/or Italian Sausage in my Spaghetti Sauce either as meat balls or Bolognese as you did.

I also like lots of Pasta sauce on my pasta also... I usually drown my pasta with it, I like making it fairly thick with lots of meat and other goodies like Bell Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, and lots of appropriate spices that I can find in my cupboards.

***Hopefully for your pasta you used thin spaghetti or better yet Angel Hair.

Although there is still some spiral ham left, today there is a big ribeye steak, baked potato, salad, and rolls.  The rolls may not approach the high quality of Danielle's but this is all good, very good.

@ Chrissy:   Well, well, well..... A big Ribeye steak (done medium rare), baked potato (grease the skins with butter or shortening before baking and they will come out tender) with all the fixings (butter, sour cream, bacon bits, grated cheddar cheese, and chives or finely chopped green onions), green salad (with lots of goodies, Roma or Cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, thin slices and chopped red onion or green onions and topped with grated Parmesan Cheese and a good salad dressing, I make a great Italian and also Oil/Vinegar French dressing)...
... and I am certain that your ROLLS will be just fine... with lots of butter of course....  everything tastes better with butter on it!

When will dinner be ready?... I will try to be there!  Here where I live it is now only 2:53PM....
Hugs,
Danielle

Unfortunate name though. Do they come back on you?

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!
