.. i've come to realize that my tub is too small. I'm trying to take a nice long soak and either I'm sitting up with my chest out or my chest down and my knees, from halfway down my thighs to mid-calf, strive to touch the ceiling.

Oh the trials and tribulations. If only tnis was the biggest hurdle anyone has to face :)
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

I frqeuently have this problem I find folding my legs back at the knee works although can lead to pulled muscels and a strong desire for the person who made such tubs commonplace to be amputated at the knees so they could fit in their own tub....    >:(
Nothing like a good soak though.

Oh for such problems!

I can't lie down in a tub anymore for a lovely soak with my music playing and a glass of champagne at the ready.

The water runs into the hole in my neck and I will drown :'(

I don't think I can manage that, I am getting better though. I do flexibility stretches every night. I'll never be a contortionist, or gymnast for that matter, but I can move better now with less pinching and numbness.

So sorry that you cannot enjoy a good bath, there's nothing like it when it's needed. I'd take an extra one for you if that would help at all. For every plus someone gets, there a minus for someone else.

One a different plus note, while finishing the bath, I decided to do some gardening. I couldn't stop and now I have completely smooth legs :D  I have never shaved my legs, ever, it feels great. When I told my wife all she did was laugh and say, "I am not surprised".

I helped out in Texas with a group of volunteers at a FEMA camp after Hurricane Harvey. Some of the girls couldn't believe I "bothered" to shave my legs while there. They told me to just let it go, because no one cares. I guess they just don't understand the simple joy of having smooth legs when you don't have any other feminine features you feel you can boast </3

I helped fix that dilemma by getting a 6' tub. Luckily the bathroom could accommodate it. Add some jets and it's all good.

No itch. However my soak was lavendar epson salts and coconut oil. I didn't need any shaving aid at all :)

My bath is 6' wall to wall, so the tub, though stated at 6', is actually smaller. We have a 2nd bath, it'll get a bigger tub if we ever get the chance to remodel.

Since there is a 4" - 5" apron around the tub the actual "tub" is probably closer to 5' which is the standard size. According to Home Depot the standard size is 60" X 36".  Maybe you can try one of those geriatric walk in tubs. Or maybe you can borrow V.M.'s tub.   8)
