How much T affected you with this?
Did your hips fade? Did your shoulders grow? Do you have a 'guy frame' or not? (you know, V-shaped back kinda)
Would you call the changes subtle or very noticeable?

--
I have very noticeable hips/thighs which I hate........... I've always seen myself as 'fat' because of this, even as a kid. I always wanted my upper body look bigger in comparison to my lower part. This is the thing that annoys me most in photos etc. - I don't think I look 'right'!

I've seen pics of guys with noticeable fat redistribution - their leg shape has changed dramatically. And then I've heard guys complain this never really happened to them.

Last time I measured was at 7 months and the circumference of my shoulders was about 2 inches bigger but my hips stayed about the same, possibly got half an inch smaller. I'm lucky to have always had a very boyish figure though so my shoulder circumference  is around 10 inches bigger than my hips and my body fat is next to nothing so the change is minimal. Fat redistribution is supposedly one of the last things to happen on T and so it can take a year plus for redistribution to start from what I've read.

A lot of this depends on your body type and what you've already got: ectomorph, endomorph, or mesomorph. I'm a mesomorph which means that my shoulders are already broader than my hips. Even so, to build them up more will take effort beyond T--some gym time.

I think the fat redistribution varies, again by body type and effort. As I understand, the fat in places that were there before T will stay there and any new fat will follow a male pattern. I'm trying to lose the last of the bit of extra I have and strengthen my build. I will say though that any core exercises will help stand tall, with shoulders open/out to maximise what you've got. That's made a difference for me too.

There's a quiz at bodybuilding.com to help figure out body types: https://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/becker3.htm

I've got a naturally stocky build so for me I've gained quite a bit of muscle on my shoulders and upper arms. I've also always had broad shoulders which have become even more noticeable since gaining muscle.

Looking at youtuber Jammiedodger who was very skinny pre T and still skinny on T so only gained a bit of muscle;  I found myself a tad jealous and would happily swap body types with him if I could  :D

As for my hips they're probably on the wider side and I've got quite a bit of fat covering them. But I've noticed recently that they look subtle narrower.

Wish I had thought of taking body shots every month so I could see how much I've changed. Probably help me to feel like I'm making more progress

Contravene

My shoulder width is a bit over 19 inches which is above the average for males my age. I'm not sure what the width of my hips is but now I'm curious so when I get a chance I'll measure and edit my post with what I find.

In February I'll be two years on T. I'm definitely getting the V taper to my back and the groove below my abs. I used to carry most of my weight around my hips in the usual female pattern but it's been redistributing pretty steadily. The only problem is that some of it is going to my stomach now which is a typical male pattern. I just started working out again so I can get rid of the fat for good and keep building more muscle on top of what the T is naturally giving me.

Oh, come on, Elis! Isn't being muscular better than being totally skinny?? But I know what you mean... He's tall - skinny - easily 'passable', I guess  :D! I'd like to be skinnier - for sure (like in legs), but all in all I'm happy that AT LEAST I've got fairly large bone structure plus muscular frame... I only wish my arms were bigger! And that my upper body would look bigger compared to my lower half... I've been fearing T might not change that.

But happy to hear you guys have had some progress on that part ;D!

I've never really been the working out type... not a gym rat, at all,  ;). But now I've noticed that working out at home has made a massive difference!! My arms, shoulders & chest have broadened for sure  :o! Now I'm like hooked up!

I'm an endomorph type, meaning any muscle I gain I gain easily and I keep easily even if I fail to work out for months or years and have a general muscular rather than skinny build. The downside to that is any fat I gain I also gain easily and keep easily. I can't say how T will affect a mesomorph or an ectomorph, but T just seems to tell my muscles to add about 10 - 15% mass off the bat. I've avoided working out the arms more than occasionally because I don't want my tees to get too tight there and have to buy a bunch bigger sizes... I already take a fairly broad male size in shirts and tees.

I have a guy V frame due to the large shoulders. I've been a swimmer since my teens so that built up the bones and the muscles there for good, I guess. I would say my ass/pelvis is medium, not tiny and not big, but offset by the wider upper body which is good. My legs get a lot of working out so they're pretty robust. The T has redistributed fat from there onto my stomach which I now have to work off...

I'd say the T changes have been pretty dramatic. It created a feedback loop in exercising where my red cell count increased which meant I could exercise longer and harder. I actually haven't tried to exercise for bodybuilding at all but it has had the effect of making it look like I have been working out for that purpose. My shadow on the ground/wall looks male in terms of basic proportions. Ofc I know the pelvis is bigger than it should be in a male but it's not all that obvious any more. The W/H ratio 'look' took a drop for sure, especially when exercising the serratus/obliques area.
