This is what I could find:
Arizona Birth Certificate Laws
Arizona will amend the gender marker on a birth certificate "for a person who has undergone a sex change operation or has a chromosomal count that establishes the sex of the person as different [than on original certificate]." (Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 36-337 (A)(3) (2006)).
To apply for an amended birth certificate the applicant must submit:
a birth certificate request form
an affidavit to correct a birth certificate
a notarized letter from the physician verifying the requirements above, if requesting a gender marker change
a certified copy of the court ordered name change, if requesting a name change
and any applicable fees paid by money order (no personal checks)
Note: Arizona recommends discussing your case directly with the Office of Vital Records before submitting documentation.

That's if one is born in AZ. The laws of the state where one is born is what applies to BCs. So I was born in ny, I have to get a court order here for name and gender change, but I have to apply for a bc change in ny, with the court order from here. That's still better than the laws here, or it's worse in some southern states. Here is a site with resources about AZ and name change etc... https://sagatucson.org/m/wp/changes-of-name-and-gender-markers/

Thanks for the information. I was born in Arizona. I have had srs surgery. Just need to get letter from my doctor. Changing name and social security number was pretty easy.
